vacation rental description
Our family lakefront cottage was completely rebuilt in 1996 and just
recently recarpeted in October 2008. We are located on the west side of
Owasco Lake off of rt 38S on a private access road approx. 5 miles from
Emerson Park to the north and 5 miles from the town of Moravia to the south.
the cottage has 3 bedrooms;1 queen bed in the upstairs loft;1 double on the
main level along with bunk beds in the other. We also have a modern bathroom
w/ shower and sink but no tub.
The main room opens to a cathederal ceiling with the entire upstairs
finished in knotty pine. There are chairs ,couch and dining table for 4
available.the kitchen also boasts cherry cabinets against the knotty pine
leading to to skylights in the ceiling.
The cottage has a large wrap around deck which comes from the east side
sliding glass door entrance to the south side main entrance.
The spiral staircase takes you from the main floor to the full basement
which has another sliding door to the patio which is larger than the deck.
The basement has a sleeper-couch,pool table, small bar, and propane stove for
use in colder months. The lake is only 25 feet from the patio and features
an "L" shape dock allowing a 20 by 8 ft platform and swim ladder at the end;
ideal for fishing, swimming,or just enjoying " the beautiful view". the water
depth at the end of the dock is aprox. 4 to 5 feet deep depending on the time
of year; and is ideal for younger swimmers although you will need water shoes
as the beach area is mostly stone.
Behind the cottage (roadside) there is ample parking for vehichles and
or a trailer;also there are 3 picnic tables availablr 1 each on the deck and
patio and 1 in the back grass yard next to the beautiful flower row.
