activities and attractions in Barbados Caribbean
The property is strategically located a stone's throw away from the
popular Accra/Rockley beach and is within minutes of both the St.
Lawrence Gap, the heart of nightlife and entertainment on the
island, and duty free shopping in downtown Bridgetown, the capital
city.
Golf at Rockley Golf Club is also just a couple of blocks away and
public transportation is readily accessible.
Accra/Rockley beach, Barbados' most popular beach, is just a 5
minute walk downhill from the villa, but if your preference is for
serenity and quiet, Welches' beach is a 5 minute drive or bus ride up
the coast.
Supermarkets and banks are within a ten minute walk from the
property. Supermarkets offer free transportation home for
customers in our neighbourhood.
We are situated approximately 9 miles from the Grantley Adams
Airport, and it is accessible via bus, taxi or rental car.
The Bridgetown port, where cruise ships will dock, is less than a 10
minute drive.
Driving is on the left hand side and most roads are two lane
secondary roads, so taxis would be the recommendation for all but
the adventurous at heart. The taxi system is pretty reliable.
