to the beach,
there are views of the beautiful blue water and beach from every room
in the condo! This unit is
part of the
very desirable, well maintained Sand Pebbles complex located on the
beach. The HOA really takes
care of this
complex! There are two ocean front pools and private (locked) beach
access.

Our unit is located on the second floor, oceanfront, next to the
stairs and our wraparound deck
overlooks the
landscaped courtyard, pool, and ocean/beach. There is covered parking
for two cars.
Accommodations are comfortable for 4-6 people. The master bedroom
suite is equipped with its own
full
bathroom and a king sized bed. The second bedroom is furnished with
a twin bed and bunk bed with
full size
and twin mattresses. The living room couch is a sleeper. There is
also a "wet butler" off of the
dining area
and a washer and dryer are provided. The kitchen is fully stocked
and furnished with a toaster,
coffeemaker,
blender, microwave, and dishwasher. High speed internet is also
provided.

Sand Pebbles has two ocean front pools and private (locked) beach
access. There is a wide range of
activities
available nearby. Additionally, Wilmington and Southport are within
a short drive or ferry
ride.

Carolina Beach Boardwalk makeover announces summer event series...

Carolina Beach, NC May 14, 2009:  The Carolina Beach Boardwalk Makeover is excited to introduce the Boardwalk Blast Summer Event Series beginning on Thursday, May 21, 2009.

The Boardwalk Blast is a summer event series consisting of over 100 events including live & DJ music, dancing, kids activities, bingo and more at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, all summer long, six days a week.

The schedule is as follows:

·        Tuesday is Family Night 6-8pm includes bounce house, kids’ activities, variety shows, story telling, arts & crafts. Free

·         Wednesday is Cash Bingo 6-8pm, Cash prizes up to $1,500. Nominal fee to play.

·         Thursday features Live Music at the Gazebo 6:30-9:30pm. Great local or regional bands perform at the Gazebo stage before and after the fireworks display at the Boardwalk. Free

·         Friday 6-8pm. Shaggin’ is back at the Boardwalk! DJ Music and some of the best shag dancing ever. Free

·         Saturday is Kids Bingo 6-8pm. Great family atmosphere. Kids can win prizes and have lots of fun! Nominal fee to play.

·        Sunday Trop Rock DJ 6-8pm. Island country & Carribean tropical rock music. Time to relax and enjoy before the movie at the lake! Free

Also on select Saturdays (one per month) there will be a daytime Battle of the Bands Competition from 1-5pm on the Beach Stage and Jazz Under the Stars from 9-11pm on the Beach Stage. (A separate press release will be sent for these events) Free.

Also offered at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk this summer are free surf lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3 PM at the Boardwalk Welcome Center plus arts, crafts, bocce ball and volleyball available for FREE on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 4-7pm.

   “This is our version of a stimulus plan,” said marketing committee member Sharon Lyons. “We wanted to offer free or very economical events for families and people of all ages to enjoy this summer.”

In conjunction with funding from the Town of Carolina Beach and a grant from the Cape Fear Garden Club, more landscaping has been done to create a terrific setting for these summer events at the Gazebo area and throughout the Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk Makeover is a not-for profit organization dedicated to preserving the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. It is staffed entirely by hard-working volunteers.

Carolina Beach is a great, family-oriented vacation destination.
There is a lot to do. With a civil war museum, the NC Aquarium at
Fort Fisher, scenic and dinner
cruise boats,
ferry rides, and great fishing and charters available, it makes for a
great place to take your
family.
Nearby Wilmington (about 8 miles) also has much to offer including
horse drawn carriage tours of
historic
downtown, more great restaurants, paddleboat tours, a water park, and
tours of the active
Screen Gems movie studio.
