Vacation Rental Description

Chevy Chase Beach Cabins are located on 7 acres above Discovery Bay, 
a few miles south of Port Townsend, Washington. The cabins are part 
of an old and much-love resort complex that has been in operation—in 
various configurations--for over one hundred years. The atmosphere 
is casual and very comfortable. The large white house is our home, 
and not available to rent.

Cabin 4 is the quintessential getaway. Its cliffside perch offers 
sweeping views from the living room and bedroom, as well as a 
private, cantilevered deck to watch the sun set over Discovery Bay 
and the Olympic Mountains. This completely refurbished cabin 
features a new kitchen, living room, and bathroom, and a queen-sized 
bed in a cozy wood-paneled bedroom.

Cabin 6 is a two-bedroom retreat at the head of the beach trail 
featuring a dramatic view of the bay and mountains. Floor-to-ceiling 
windows in the living/dining/kitchen area open out onto a deck ideal 
for barbecuing, napping in the sun, or contemplating the vista. One 
bedroom with a queen-sized bed, another with two twin beds, and a 
daybed in the living room make this cabin idea for small families.

Cabins 7 & 10 are refurbished studio cottages with garden views, 
private bathrooms with claw foot tubs, queen-sized beds, and 
refrigerators, microwaves, and coffeemakers. Simple and cozy, Cabins 
7 & 10 are perfect for couples who want to explore the many 
attractions of the Olympic Peninsula or sneak away for a night or 
weekend of romance.

The Clubhouse is our premier cabin. Built in 1938 as the original 
golf course clubhouse, this deluxe accommodation features an immense 
stone fireplace, original maple flooring and cedar paneling, a 
spacious living and dining area, and a sweeping view of the bay and 
mountains. Watch summer sunsets on a deck framed by two ancient 
apple trees or cozy up to the fire with a good book on a winter 
afternoon. Cozy for two, comfy for four, the Clubhouse can also 
serve as a gathering place for small groups spread out in other 
cabins.

Meadow House is a 1920s farmhouse completely renovated in 1998. It 
is a serene retreat with bucolic views of a pasture, natural pond, 
classic red barn, and cherry, fir, and maple trees. This 
birdwatchers paradise features an open floor plan with central 
kitchen, dining area, living room and woodstove corner with rocker. 
Meadow House is a very short walk up the road from the rest of the 
cabins. 

The Homestead is ideal for small gatherings of friends or family. We 
have transformed a cramped and dark 1950’s remodel of John Tukey’s 
original homestead house into an airy, light and very comfortable 
retreat. This three bedroom, two bath home features an open floor 
plan, all new amenities, a private yard with a white picket fence, a 
deck, and a fire pit. The Homestead is ideal for small gatherings of 
friends or family.
