Secluded Mt. Hood Cabin - The Red Relaxer in Mount Hood

Experience total solitude and relaxation at the Red Relaxer, a bright and comfortable log-sided cabin
at the edge of the Mt. Hood National Forest, on the banks of Clear Creek and Little Clear Creek. The
cabin has three bedrooms and sleeps 2 to 8 people comfortably.

The house sits on four wooded acres, bordered by Clear Creek on one side and wild timberland on the
other. Little Clear Creek flows through the middle of the property past the house. During the
cooler months, the pond next to the house fills with water and attracts, birds, ducks, beavers, and
other wildlife. Deer often graze in the front yard in early morning. In winter, the blanket of snow
around the house is crisscrossed by the tracks of rabbits, racoons, opossums, and other animals. The
road that leads to the property is private. If solitude is what you're after, you will definitely
find it here.

Unlike many older cabins which can be small and dark, the Red Relaxer is spacious and bright, with
sunlight streaming in from lots of big windows. The oversize wood stove heats the Great Room quickly
while mesmerizing you with dancing flames. The sofa, love seat, and armchair all have built-in
recliners – five individually reclining seats – so your whole group can kick back in style. The
Dining Room has seating for eight. The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare
gourmet meals. A full array of cookware and appliances are at your disposal. No mismatched old
dishes here; we have brightly colored stoneware and modern wine glasses.
