Labor Day Weekend

EwaRybus (Fairfield, CT)
Review submitted: September 15, 2011   Date of arrival: September 2, 2011

We came to the Little House for the Labor Day weekend (well, we extended it by couple of days :), it was everything that we hoped for and even a little bit more, the first morning we had a huge moose standing in the yard.... The location is just perfect, it's far enough from all the resorts and hotels,so you have all the privacy you want but at the same time it's close to all the hiking trails and main attractions. The house itself was very clean, well equipped, the owner left detailed letter with instruction on how to work: tv, fireplace... etc, which came in very handy. The whole trip was just amazing, and we are already planning another one up there.

Recommended for: age 55+, girls getaway, pet-friendly, romantic getaway

Perfect Peaceful Getaway

JuliaP (Medford, MA)
Review submitted: February 22, 2011   Date of arrival: February 11, 2011

My fiance and I spent Valentine's Day weekend at The Little House, with our corgi, and it couldn't have been a better experience- we wished we were staying for a week! We looked all over from something simple and cozy and not immediately connected to a ski resort, where we could park our car upon arrival and leave it untouched for the weekend. The Little House both met and exceeded our expectations. We spent our days snowshoeing right out our door in the surrounding forest, reading books from the extensive libraries in the house, watching movies from the massive video collection, and cooking up a storm. The house is incredibly cozy and comfortable and, unless you are seeking outside entertainment, there is really no reason to leave. We are already planning our next trip back to The Little House!

Thank you, Dennis, for making our stay so comfortable, we hope to see you again soon!
