This classic Summer home on a large, level point with 300' of lake frontage, spacious beach and private dock has just recently become available for rent.
Enjoy nature walks on the 20+ acres of woods complete with waterfall and stream. See deer, turkeys, ducks, geese, blue herons and and an occasional bald eagle.Take the kids fossil hunting. It is located next to one of the prime fishing spots on Owasco Lake, with fishing gear available on request.
A newly renovated (Summer, 2009) boathouse, next to the main house, can be rented separately, when available (VR#62210). The boathouse has one bedroom, brand new kitchen and bath with a gas fireplace (sleeps two).
Boat rentals are available only a few minutes away.
This secluded retreat is located just minutes from Ithaca, with its world-class restaurants, Sciencenter, farm markets, festivals, concerts and airport.
A 10 - 15 minute drive takes you to the lake town of Aurora, with its shops, restaurants and the world-famous MacKenzie-Childs factory shop and tours.
Skaneateles, another well-known resort town, a 25 minute drive, offers many fine restaurants, shops, boat tours and festivals.
Spend an afternoon doing the Cayuga or Seneca lake wine tours with their many small, intimate wineries and restaurants, several only minutes away.
A short drive North are the towns of Auburn and Skaneateles, home to fine restuarants and shops. At the North end of the lake is the Merry-Go-Round Theatre, which has performances of popular broadway musicals from June to September.

The house offers four large bedrooms, including a downstairs bedroom with full
bath and an adjoining sitting room with daybed, ideal for small children. The three spacious bedrooms on the second floor each have two twin beds. There are 2 1/2 baths.
There is a den with a new flat screen TV and DVD player off the huge wrap-around porch.
From the spacious great room with vaulted ceiling and 2-story fieldstone fireplace (fire wood is provided), one has a 180 degree view of Owasco Lake.
On the South lawn is a play yard complete with swing set and
slide for small children and ample space for bocci, croquet or volleyball.
The huge wrap-around porch has wicker seating for about 15 people, as well a a dining table and chairs. The porch has an amazing view of the lake.
The kitchen has a new refrigerator with icemaker, new dishwasher and microwave oven among other amenities, and is fully stocked with cooking utensils, flatware, servingware, dishes, glasses, toaster, coffee maker etc. There is a pantry/laundry off the kitchen with fully functioning washer and dryer, drying rack, iron and board.
Well water is provided with uv filter for safe, great-tasting water.
A new BBQ grill and a picnic table are on site.
The house is fully heated. A satelite dish provides great TV reception and high-speed internet access is provided.

Activities include hiking (either on the property or in one of the parks nearby), fishing and boating.
Canoes, kayaks, pontoon boats and sailboats are available for rent at nearby marinas. There is a new dock off the beach and fishing equipment is available on request.
Biking is a popular pastime throughout the fingerlakes region, and information on biking trails and routes is available on request.
Lunch or dinner is a five minute ride by boat or car, to the Cascade Grill. Detailed info on other area resturants, wineries, shopping and other activities is available on site and on request.

50% of the rent will be due at time of first booking with the balance due one month prior to your stay.
A deposit of $1000, due one month prior to stay, will be refunded at the end of your stay, minus any breach of contract or cost for breakage or damage to property other than normal wear.
There is a one week minimum for rentals, except where indicated above.
No smoking in house or on porch.
No fireworks.
Well behaved dogs are welcome for a small additional fee.
