vacation rental description
The eco-chic resort Palapas Caribe is located on the pristine crystal clear waters of Soliman Bay, just 12 minutes north of Tulum pyramids and 5 minutes south of Xel-ha lagoon. The gorgeous Mayan-style palapas are built high up over the tuquoise waters of the Caribbean to take advantage of the gentle breezes and spectacular 360 degree views. The palapas are built with natural materials of recycled wood, palm, and sea shells which provide a truly ecological experience. This is the essence of eco-chic; allowing true communion with nature, yet affording you with natural comfort.
The beach of Punta Soliman is private and residential and the water is user friendly. You will not be surrounded by hordes of people. Sandy white beaches, palm trees.. lizards, beautiful parrots and herons abound. The reef is very alive with tropical fish, turtles, mantarays, stingrays, and multi-colored angel fish..all within a swimmable distance, or a short kayak journey. You will experience some of the best snorkeling in this area. If you are looking for a true eco-experience in a world where this type of setting is vanishing all to quickly, then Palapas Caribe is for you.
cottage rental amenities
Palapas Caribe has a unique set up. Two bedrooms are separate bungalows on the water, and the third bungalow is a cute modern casita construction, about 150 feet from waters edge. All 3 bungalows can be rented to accomodate 6 people, or 1 room can be rented per couple seperately. Babies and kids welcome. There is an outdooor shower with hot water, charming kitchen with fridge (for those cold cervezas), brand new stove for preparing meals, and a living room under the stars. We provide beach chairs, linens, towels, kitchen "stuff".. plates, pots pans, utensils. Massage and yoga upon request.
activities and attractions in Tulum Yucatan
Swimming, snorkeling, skinny -dipping for all you naturists, birdwatching,
kayaking, reading, scuba diving, or just lounging around and having a drink. There are spectacular Mayan ruins 12 minutes away. Cenotes (underground rivers and caves) are particular only to this region of the planet.. people come from all over the world to dive and snorkel in these pristine crystalline waters. Check out Grand Cenote, Calaveras, Cenote Crystal, and my favorite Dos Ojos (two eyes) which is just a short 10 minute drive. Sian Kaan, a world heritage site near by, has fishing, snorkeling, and birdwatching tours. Xel-Ha Nature Park is 5 minutes away where you can swim with dolphins.
