Historic House in Old Town Alexandria in Washington

My house is C. 1840 and is on the National Historic Register. It is
located 2 blocks from King Street in the heart of historic Old Town
Alexandria and 6 miles from the US Capitol Building in Washington DC.
Use this as your getaway and residence to tour Alexandria, DC and Mount Vernon.
You could also easily take public transportation, water taxi across
the Potomac or limo from the house.

This house is my second home, so it is fully furnished, with a queen
bed in the master bedroom, a full size sofa bed in the second bedroom
and a twin mattress that can be located in the finished basement with
fireplace and private half bath. The house has a washer and dryer, 2
fireplaces and will be stocked with my normal array of food, drinks
and liquor for your use. It has a living room, dining room, kitchen
featuring all modern appliances, 9 foot ceilings, original floors,
dental molding and fireplaces, HD cable and HD TV, wireless high
speed internet and telephone. A dry cleaner is just around the
corner, if needed.

Numerous restaurants and bars may be found within a couple of blocks
from the house, including Gadsby's Tavern, a stopping place of
Washington, Jefferson,Adams, Madison and Monroe and Potomac River
dining on the Dandy. While you're there, don't miss Mt. Vernon, just
down the George Washington Parkway and have dinner too at the Chart
House, located adjacent to the Torpedo Factory Art Center, just 4
blocks from the house.

The rate is $200 per night. This also includes a street parking permit if you
need one.
