vacation rental description
Experience traditional Mexican callejon living in the most European of all Mexican cities and the jewel of Mexican historical travel. This newly renovated, 2 bedroom home is in the heart of Guanajuato, just a 10 minute walk to the central market and Alondiga.
The Casita de Cata has a traditional talavera tile kitchen with new fridge and freezer. Bathrooms with showers on both floors, both newly renovated. Lots of wood and rustic furniture. This property offers both indoor and outdoor living space on two levels with spectacular views of Guanajuato's historic center. There are two bedrooms, each has two twin beds that can be combined or kept separate. Upper terrace gets sun all day, lower courtyard is a good shady spot when it is hot.
The Casita is one of three properties separated by a locked gate at the Callejon. The locked gate is more for your ease than of necessity as this area is a traditional family area and very safe, day and night. The Tepetapa area is a vibrant and newly expanding at the shopping end of the historical downtown.
There is upgraded telmex 1 meg wireless internet service which is excellent for skype and streaming video.

activities and attractions in Guanajuato Central Mexico
Guanajuato is at the center of Colonial Mexican History. It is a 450 year old city rich in history, art, renaissance energy and old world urban landscape. There are no beaches here, but there is an opportunity to discover an America that you just might want to be part of. It is a conservative culture but the overwhelmingly youthful population hums with optimism and pride of place and it seems that there is a festival going on all the time!
-Local bus is very close and service within town is excellent (only 4 pesos!).
-Great inexpensive daytrips on modern buses to nearby towns (eg. San Miguel de Allende, Dolores Hidalgo) add to the adventure.
