Staying in the "Driftwood Lodge" is like stepping back to old California along the California coast.
This Ponderosa style lodge has 2 living rooms, 5 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms
with walkin showers. There are 2 king beds, 3 queens, 2 twins, 2 more twins in a kid's loft, a sleeper sofa and futons to accomodate up to 18 guests. Outside the lodge you find several places to enjoy the ocean views including the front deck with the outdoor fireplace and rustic wood chairs. There are more seating areas in the rear of the house where you find the gas barbeque and the hot tub. A short walk away are 2 restaurants and a cocktail lounge with some of the most outstanding ocean views of the coast.

Walk to the Highlands Inn for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Sit in the
cocktail lounge and watch the sunset. Drive down the Big Sur Coast.
Go shopping in Carmel By The Sea or one of the other towns or
shopping centers near by. Play golf at one of the 18 golf courses in
the area. Visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium, go for a whale watch or
rent kayaks for a row on the bay. Enjoy an outdoor play in the
summer at the Forest Theater. Watch an event at the Sunset Center or
the Golden Bough. Drive south to Santa Cruz and visit the Boardwalk.
Come to Driftwood to enjoy one of the special events held year round
like the AT&T pro-am golf tournament, Bach Festival, Concours de'
Elegance, Big Sur marathon, or Artichoke festival. Walk on the mile
long Carmel Beach and leave your footprints in the sand. See the
beautiful sunsets as the sun disappears into the ocean.
