vacation rental description
This is it! Beautiful waterfront home in a quiet neighborhood yet
convenient to restaurants and shopping. Spend some time in the
tropics. This nicely furnished waterfront home is available for
monthly rental. The home is fully furnished. All you need to bring is
a toothbrush and a change in attitude. Includes Wireless internet access
Located between Marathon and Key West, Big Pine Key is close enough
to visit both in the same day. One of Florida’s top beaches at Bahia
Honda is only minutes away. There are several tackle and dive shops
on Big Pine and a boat ramp is just around the corner.
Tarpon enthusiasts, we have quick access to some of the best bridge
and flats tarpon spots in Florida. Both the Seven Mile, Bahia Honda,
and No Name bridges are close buy and there are a multitude of flats
and cuts in the area that tarpon, permit, and bonefish frequent. The
Content Keys are easily reached from our house via Spanish Channel or
if you have a flats boat, there is an inside passage. Don’t forget
the reef and offshore fishing which is also excellent off of Big Pine
where you will find snapper, dolphin, sailfish, Kingfish, and grouper
just to name a few of the local species! In the Gulf, you will find
cobia, snapper, trout, grouper, and mackerel.
For the diver, we are close to numerous (Content Keys, Sawyer Key,
etc.) excellent lobster spots in the gulf and Atlantic. Looe Key is
easily reached through Bogie Channel and there are many other great
dive sites close by off Big Pine too.
This home accommodates up to 6 and has 2 bedrooms and 2 full
bathrooms. A large porch overlooks the water and is a great place to
watch the sunset. There is a 60’ dock with a fish cleaning table. The
canal usually has an abundance of snapper and you may see the
occasional manatee. The location offers quick access to local fishing
and diving spots. You can easily navigate access to Gulf and Ocean
via Spanish Channel or Bogie Channel.
The home is just a 30 minute drive to Key West Florida. This is a
great location as the island has many restaurants, a large grocery
store, several tackle shops, marinas, and is close to the Bahia Honda
State Park. The small Key Deer are seen on a regular basis in our
neighborhood. The home is within easy walking distance to the world
famous No Name Pub.
The home features two bedrooms and 2 full baths. Both bedrooms have
queen size beds. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a
dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, pot/pans,
silverware, etc. Sheets, towels, pillows are provided. There is a
large covered porch overlooking the canal and this is a great place
to spend a peaceful evening. The rooms are nicely furnished with
ceiling fans, central air conditioning, washer/dryer, cable TV,
VCR/DVD, and a barbeque grill. There is a fish cleaning station and
the boat dock has room for 2 boats.
Boat rentals, fishing guides, and a boat ramp are available close by
(a couple of blocks away) at the No Name Fish Camp. The location has
easy access to excellent fishing and diving spots in the gulf as well
as the Atlantic Ocean. We are only a short distance from Looe Key,
which is renowned for its beautiful coral reefs. Bahia Honda beach is
rated as one of the top beaches in Florida and is a short distance
from our house.
No boat, not a fisherman or diver, no problem Mon! Big Pine has
hiking trail to a Blue Hole, biking, and is an excellent area to
kayak. Kayak rentals are available at the No Name Fish Camp and at
several other outfitters on Big Pine. We are within easy walking
distance from No Name bridge which offers good bridge fishing as well
as great vies of the surrounding area.
There are several good restaurants in the area including Robbie’s,
Little Palm Island, Square Grouper, Kingston's Clam bar, and Mangrove
Mama’s. The Big Pine Coffee Shop offers a great breakfast and you
can’t miss the pizza, wings, and beer at the No Name Pub. Of course,
Key West offers many fine dining establishments.
The home is conveniently minutes away from a Winn Dixie (grocery
store), CVS drug store, clothing and gift stores.
