We are just finishing 9 days at Viña Romántica. We had only planned to stay 3 days and then go elsewhere but were so impressed that we stayed all 9 days. The Central Valley location made it an excellent choice as a base to visit other areas. The owners and employee's bent over backwards to provide for every need. (From transportation to snacks/ drinks /internet and phone services etc.). We had the gourmet quality breakfast and a gourmet quality restaurant is on the premises with excellent food. We hope to return in the future.

Viña Romántica was the first place my wife and I stayed while on our honeymoon. We wanted something close to the airport that was quiet and relaxing while we acclimated after our trip. Little did we know of the level of hospitality that we were to receive. We woke up to fresh coffee and tea on the deck just outside of our room.

Our room overlooked coffee fields of the central valley and their cozy backyard. The bed was very comfortable, the shower hot and with good water pressure.

We can't wait to get back to Costa Rica!

We had a great stay at Vina Romantica. Sherry and Tim the owners were great hosts, very informative about the area and activities in the area and surrounding areas. The rooms were very nicely decorated and we had a great view of Poas Volcano from our room. The beds were extremely comfortable. Vina Romantica is located up above San Jose the view of the city is incredible. What we liked about it also is that it is located up where all the locals live. One of the best things about it is that you are not in a tourist trap area or in the city. We would like to thank Sherry & Tim for the wonderful time we had there. We will be back!!!

what a jem! the whole experience was laid back while being luxurious and not stuffy. Price is well worth what you get (definately get the dinner). The owners are wonderful, the place is wonderful!
