This spacious 3 room ground floor flat is located on a quiet
Jerusalem street called Moshe Hess, around the corner from the King
David Hotel and the YMCA. It is a 10 minute walk to the Jaffa Gate of
the Old City as well as to the downtown area. This flat is part of a
3 storey British built (1930s) stone residential house, with high
ceilings and large windows. A modern kitchen and bathroom are both
well equipped with all essentials. The Hess House can accommodate 4
people and is appropriate for adult and elderly tourists as well as
families and all those looking to stay in both a centrally located
accommodation in quiet surroundings. A wide selection of attractions,
restaurants and parks surround the neighborhood, as well as
supermarkets and small grocery stores.

The house is situated in a small quiet street which has only six
buildings on each side and leads directly
to King David Street. Immediately beyond the corner, the impressive
Hebrew Union College stands out
and by its side Beth Shmouel. King David Hotel and at a distance of a
2 minutes walk from the apartment
you will come across the splendid Y.M.C.A. where from time to time
you can hear the musical notes made
by its unusual Bell tower.
A few minutes later in your stroll you reach the Khan Theatre, the
Jerusalem Cinematheque,
the Scottish Church, the Sha'nanim Quarter, Yemin Moshe, the
Jerusalem Theater,
the restaurants area in the German Colony, the new promenade skirting
the Jaffa Gate with its variety of
modern shops.
The Jaffa gate leads you to the old city and you see just as you pass
through it the Tourist Information Center where you can find all
sorts of pamphlets, directories, guides and maps that can assist in
your further exploration.
At the Jaffa Gate you are in fact at strolling distance from most of
the important relics and sacred places:
The Tomb of The Lord , Via Dolores, the Wailing Wall and the
archeological findings bordering it.
Also at this point you can go through the maze of narrow streets that
form the well known old city market
and where most of the old city secrets and history are hidden.
You have the opportunity to walk on the city walls, visit the Citadel
of David, Zion Mount and the Room of The Last Supper.
Back to the Hess house you can walk to the Great Synagogue, The
Temple of Solomon,
the Rehavia quarters, the Park of Independence, The Italian Synagogue
in Nahalat Shiv'a and Jaffa Street which is crowded with shops and
activity.
Ten minutes walk from there you are in Mahaneh Yehuda Market Place
and the religious area
having as its center the Mea She'arim quarter.
As an alternative you can reach various regions by bus . A bus stop
is situated near the Hess House
and you can pick a bus to any of the important destinations including
the central Bus Station.
