We have enjoyed our stay. It is the second time this year we rent an apartment through Vacation rentals and in both cases we were happy with what we had. In this second case, the apartment was roomy and comfortable. The apartment provides everything one needs for a six day stay and at a very reasonnable price. There is a very comfortable main room with a king size large bed. Since we had to go all over Brooklyn as well as Manhattan, we appreciated the subway at a 3 minute walk from the apartment. Living Room large enough if one wants to watch television while the other has to work. Location is in a very quiet area and there is a grocery store around. Since we drove from Montreal to Brooklyn, we appreciated ample parking place in the street for free. We could leave the car there and go to Manhattan by subway with no fuss at all.
We recommend this simple, comfortable and quiet apartment.

We really enjoyed our New York Experience. Thanks for sharing your apt. and being so welcoming. We are so grateful that you took the time to show us around. We know your time was limited with the new baby and your other little ones. The apartment had everything we needed. We loved the bed. It was so wonderful to come home to. The towels were great too! The location was perfect. We went almost every morning to that deli down the street. Their breakfast bagels were great. Our last morning we went to the Tiny Cup. Delicious! Wish we could have seen more of Brooklyn. We did walk the Bridge three days. Cold, but exhiliarating.

Thanks again, Patti & George.

We wanted an apartment as we traveled, and stayed a week, with a 2 year old. For us, this apartment was perfect for our budget, and being 2 bedrooms, gave us plenty of space, so much more than in Manhattan for so much less money. John, the owner, was great, took us on a little tour of the area, showing us the grocery stores, cafes, laundrette, takeaways, subway etc. He also recommended a taxi company for the return, which was good as we needed to leave at 5am. The subway stop was about 200m away, on the G line so a change is needed for Manhattan, but it is easy and just 4 stops away in either direction. The subway only had stairs though. There was a baby cot in the apartment, perfect for our toddler. You can get to Wall St, and the WTC site in about 25 mins, but count on 30-40 for midtown, Times Sq, etc. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this apartment to our friends. Thank you!

Note, the provided internet is via an RJ45 connection, not wireless. The apartment is up a flight of stairs (as well as the stairs to the front door), so not the easiest with luggage.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car

Owners response: Really looking forward to another great season. There's so much to do and places to visit at this time of year that my challenge when assisting guests is to focus in on the sort of activities that they would personally enjoy the most. This way they'll never leave having felt as if they didn't do much. There's always going to be tons of stuff to do in NYC, but did you enjoy what you did get to do with the time that you had? That's the question I try to answer for folks.
