The resort is known for uncrowded slopes and no lift lines. Located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, the resort receives an annual snowfall of 500 inches. The base elevation is 7,988 feet and peak elevation is
10,035 feet. Solitude has 1200+ skiable acres, including 64 designated trails, powder bowls, gladed tree runs, steep chutes, and gentle cruising runs with 2,047 feet of continuously skiable terrain. The longest descent is 3.5 miles down Honeycomb Trail.
Nordic Center for Cross-Country Skiing and Snow Shoeing
Easily accessible from the Solitude Village, the Nordic Center offers 20 kilometers of superbly prepared trails set for both classic and skating styles of Nordic skiing. Terrain Park Solitude has a new "family-friendly" terrain park designed with fun in mind for everyone.
Features are all snow-based (no steel structures) and crafted to offer a manageable size for all riders. In the park are two table-tops, each of them with a different take off. A 15' fun-box, two small hips and two different sets of rollers. One set of rollers is smaller for the little ones and the other is a little larger and perfect for perfecting your switch landings.
Ice Skating
In the heart of the village is the new ice skating sheet. The rink is open all winter starting
December 20th from 3:00pm - 8pm. The rink is closed March and April.
