This home in the Jemez Mountains, surrounded by Santa Fe National Forest, is for the vacationers who are looking for a beautiful home and fun things to do without going bankrupt. The house is 1-1/2 miles up from NM Hwy. 4 at mile marker 21 past Soda Dam. The property is 3 years old and the area has everything you want to do and more. The fishing in the Jemez River is great all the time, not the week B4 you arrived. You can soak in Natural Hot Springs less than 5 miles away on Hwy 4.  Jemez Springs has plenty of restaurants, art galleries, shops, and churches. There is never a dull moment at the world famous Los Ojos Watering Hole where they have live music every week and wonderful green chile cheeseburgers.  Breakfast or lunch at Hwy. 4 Coffee Shop is especially good, or just stop by for some of their fresh baked artisan breads or delicious pastries.  If an excellent breakfast burrito is what you're looking for, head north on Hwy. 4 a few miles to its intersection with Hwy. 126 where you will find Ridgeback Cafe.

This home has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths.  It also has a pull out sofa in the living room with a regular size bed. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet, mirrored dresser and chest of drawers as well as an en-suite bathroom.  The second bedroom has a large closet and two dressers.  Both bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans. There is a telephone with long distance block since most cell phones do not work. The living room has a propane fireplace to enjoy and a TV w/built-in VCR with a selection of tapes to watch. There is a propane furnace and hot water heater. You will have use of a washer, dryer, microwave, all appliances, cookware, dishes and flatware. Linens and towels are supplied. There is a deck on 3 sides of the house to enjoy 3 different mountaintop views.  Enjoy your morning coffee on the sunny open deck.  Take advantage of the gas grill on the covered porch for great BBQ rain or shine.  Best of all, enjoy the peace and quiet of a real mountain getaway.

Hiking, biking, hot springs, Indian ruins, Jemez State Monument, fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, Valles Caldera with plenty of elk to watch, wine tasting at Ponderosa Winery, galleries, and museums.  Climb on Soda Dam and explore its caves.  Enjoy the Jemez Springs Bath House where you can soak in the hot spring water piped in, have an herbal wrap, and end with a massage.  The Jemez Springs village square has a skate park as well as playground for the kids.  You will find Wi-Fi at the library and Hwy. 4 Coffee Shop.  The library also offers computers for your convenience.  Easy drive to either Santa Fe or Albuquerque for even more activities and shopping.  There are often festivals going on in the Jemez Pueblo just a 1/2 hour south on Hwy. 4.
