Perfect Getaway

We stayed in this lovely home for a fall vacation in Mazatlan. It is located in a very nice upscale neighborhood and has everything you could possibly desire for a perfect holiday. Sitting outside, listening to the birds and watching the sunset with a cold Pacifico on the outdoor patio is heaven!

We stayed here for 2 weeks and loved every minute. The three bedrooms have ensuite baths and super comfortable beds. Pool time is a must and being able to use the outdoor bathroom is handy- no dripping water on the floors inside. There are floating air mattresses and loungers to use in the pool and plenty of outdoor seating for a large family.
I would recommend waking up poolside with freshly roasted coffee from Rico's to start planning your day in Mexico. The kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line appliances, so cooking at home was easy. I made Shrimp Scampi with the huge local shrimp found at the market. Yummy!!

Go across the street for beach time. We found some seashells to take home, along with our memories. Golfing and tennis are available at the Country Club. Other ideas for things to do include going to Stone Island, watching the surfers at the Cerritos area or off the Malecon when walking in late afternoon, head down to the Old Town/Plaza area at night to listen to music and have dinner outside. There are so many good places to eat out in Mazatlan making it hard to choose one- try La Brochetta ( across from Home Depot) or Gus Gus.

If you need anything at all, just give Judy a call- she is great!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Fantastic home!

This house is spectacular! Not only is it beautifully furnished, but has everything your family could want for a great vacation. We spent time in the pool every day and loved the waterfall and water slide. The patio is a neat place to hang out, having your morning coffee or a cold Pacifico in the evenings. There is even a bathroom right off the patio, so you don't have to drip water inside if you are wet from swimming!

Having laundry facilities makes it easier to pack light- enabling you to take home more souvenirs. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioners ensure a good night's sleep. The closets are huge and have plenty of storage space.

My son (a professional chef) whipped up tasty meals using the fully equipped kitchen. This house has lots of room for everyone to have some private time or take a nap undisturbed. The location is just a short walk to the front gate in the Golden Zone. Judy and Roberto (property managers)are very nice and quick to help if you need anything.

I have rented many different homes and condos in Mazatlan and can honestly say this is by far the best one available! Thank you to Susan and Barry for sharing your wonderful home with my family.

We had a blast!!!!

I want to start by saying that we travel a lot and often rent houses from owners. This one was a gem. Very well maintained, with a swimming pool in which we spent good 2 hours a day (morning and late afternoons). The owner's sister lives very close by and she made herself available (by phone and in person) to help us with any question we had. The house is about 10 min walk from the El Cid hotels/the beach in a super quite area of the golf course (you can only hear the birds... which actually could get a bit loud early in the morning). The kitchen is fully equipped, there are a lot of helpful books in the house, including several cookbooks if one decides to venture into Mexican cuisine. Oh, and we traveled with 3 kids, aged 3, 9 and 16. All had equal amount of fun.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
