Inside the Cottage the 1 bedroom is appointed with things related to the ranch and Yosemite, and a Queen size bed w/ linens, blankets, comforter, futon chair/bed and ceiling fans.

Peaceful Cottage Getaway

Review submitted: August 27, 2014   Date of arrival: August 21, 2014

We loved our stay at the cottage! Our favorite part was the patio area with the relaxing fountain and swinging chair. The property was clean and very well-maintained, and the owner was highly attentive and helpful. The online photos don't do this place justice! We will definitely be back.

Relaxing Ranch

Review submitted: August 13, 2014   Date of arrival: July 14, 2014

My husband and I both loved our 3 night stay at the cottage at Roundhat Horse Ranch. The ranch is about an hour drive from the Yosemite National Park entrance, but it was the perfect place to start and finish our days. The cottage is really cute and comfy and was perfectly cleaned and equipped with everything we needed for cooking, laundry, and wifi. We found ourselves wanting to spend time at the cottage, and in the evenings we enjoyed sunset walks around the ranch to visit the animals before having dinner on our outdoor patio. The owners were really friendly and helpful with suggesting itineraries and giving us information about the area. We would definitely return and would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family. Favorite features: The bed was very comfortable and the outdoor shower was divine!

Awesome Place, People and Park

Review submitted: July 30, 2014   Date of arrival: July 17, 2014

What a beautiful cottage. Easy to find, everything we needed (and more) and most importantly, immaculately maintained by the very hospitable owners, Stephen and Gayle. Stephen met us when we arrived and walked us through everything, including priceless local advice on the park and the surroundings. They gave us the privacy when needed and the opportunity for more if we wanted. Their cottage is extremely peaceful and in a romantic setting nested among the ranch with wildlife at the doorstep, including rabbits, woodpeckers and hummingbirds. The donkeys opposite the cottage are adorable. The road to the park is very scenic, extremely easy and almost the quickest few miles you will ever drive! No need to review the park - it speaks for itself!

Stop off in Mariposa for a walk around and groceries. Call in at the Gold Coin Pub for a steak sandwich and one of the many restaurants including traditional Mexican, Italian food.

Stay at the ranch if you want to just get away from it all or visit the park. You will not regret it. We originally booked booked four nights and were lucky enough to stay an extra night because we just did not want to leave. If you only have a week, you will not regret booking this beautiful place and I guarantee you will be begging your boss for more time to enjoy the scene....!

Stephen and Gayle have created a gem. I would prefer to keep their place quiet (!) but everyone should sample this piece of paradise at least once in their life.

Thanks Stephen and Gayle for our (too short) stay and we hope to see you again soon!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, sight seeing, romantic getaway
