Estero Island is located just off the coast of Ft. Myers,Florida. A
seven mile stretch of sugar white sandy beach that has been ranked as
the mosts family friendly beach on the Gulf Coast of Southwest
Florida!
Ft. Myers Beach occupies all of skinny Estero Island, and is known as
the worlds safest beach. Offering miles of white sandy beaches,
topaz, blue water and relaxing recreational options for everyone,
Fort Myers Beach is a fabulous vacation destination where everyone
will be able to find something irresistible!
The intersection, north end, of Old San Carlos and Estero Boulevards
is an area packed with restaurants, beach apparel shops, souvenir
shops, hotels and bars, called Times Square by the locals.
The southern end of Estero Island is a much quieter residential area,
with ocean-side cottages, quiet motels, lovely beach condos and
privately owned vacation pool homes.
Just south of Ft. Myers Beach is Lovers Key State Recreation Area,
featured by the Travel Channel as one of the worlds best beaches.
Access to this beach, which is known for its abundance of shells, is
restricted to footpaths or a tractor-pulled tram through the bird
filled forest of mangrove trees.
Area activities include golf, swimming, sailing, fishing, kayaking,
scuba diving and snorkeling. Ft. Myers Beach also offers nature
excursions, wave runner tours, sightseeing and dolphin cruises, as
