***ESSENCE/4th of July IS BOOKED EXCEPT FOR THE SMALL 1BR 2-4 PPL MAX (2 Queen Beds)***

We have a 2BR/1BA unit and a 1BR/1BA unit that can be combined for larger parties (4 Bedroom 2BA), or completely separate for smaller parties, on a QUIET residential street that happens to be steps to the Quarter and Frenchman street. 4 blocks to Bourbon but retire to a peaceful beautifully renovated oasis.

TOTAL of 5 queen beds, 4 huge bedrooms, 2 enormous bathrooms each with stackable LG washer/dryer. Each unit features hardwood floors and tiled bathrooms.

The downstairs 2BR has 12 ft high ceilings. We have been doing vacation rentals for 4 years but have just completed the complete renovation of this property October 1, 2013. We had several bookings before we were listed and photos were taken. It is an amazing experience in a fantastic location, steps from Storyville, Congo Square, Louis Armstrong Park, and Cafe du Monde is a 10 minute stroll. We are 4 blocks from Bourbon Street.

Beautiful home just a few blocks away from Marigny and Frenchman street.

We stayed here for the annual French Quarter Festival. The home was even more beautiful than the pictures showed and the pictures look great. They were very accommodating with anything we needed including advice about the area and even allowing us to drop off our luggage before our check in time. The house has a nice backyard to relax in the sun or bbq. We stayed in the two bedroom which easily handled our party of 5. I love the city and the French Quarter is close as well. Port of call is a great restaurant close by and is very well know for its burgers, baked potatoes, and steaks. Try a monsoon, they're much better than hurricanes. Stick to one though, ,they're powerful.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Esplanade Ridge 2 Bedroom Apt

We had a very pleasant stay here. It was close enough to the Quarter that everything was within walking distance. Bedrooms very spacious...living area could use more chairs...no soap, shampoo or hairdryer so bring your own amenities. All in all, it was a nice stay.

Owners response: I apologize for any guest that hasn't had a superlative experience. Guests are told to notify me within 24 hours if anything is amiss, and I didn't hear about any of these things until after checkout, tho we did speak during the booking. The blow dryer was found by housekeeping after checkout, so I'm not sure as to why it wasn't found or why it was never mentioned. As far as soap and shampoos it is not standard for vacation rentals due to state health code, but a fair enough request and miniatures is a simple enough suggestion. Anything that would have been communicated would have been dealt with. I would worry the apt would seem cluttered if it had any more chairs, or where we would put them. Our major change has been a mandatory security deposit, because guests were just making off with the strangest things. But taking all things into consideration, we have only been running a few months and are still reacting to differing and oft times conflicting requests to see what makes the most people happy. This is our first non-five star review so I think we're doing quite well.

I was so lucky to find this wonderful home. The home is renovated down to the last nail and it is lovely. This also means very clean, a biggie for me. The rooms are spacious, the windows let in lovely light throughout the day and the amenities are top notch. The location is ideal for the French Quarter and Marigny, really it is convenient to the whole town as it is located near bus service and the street car. A little walking might be in store to some locations, but its good to work off all the good food and drink! I had a rental car and was able to park in front of the house every day of the 30 I stayed. The linens are lovely and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with new dishes and cookware. There is a sweet, brand new laundry set up as well. Dave was the icing on the cake! He is a hardworking, patient, charismatic darling! He took care of all my needs very quickly. There was never an unanswered text or phone call. He ensured that I was well versed on the town as well. I got a locals guide straight from him! He is very particular about his guests and we had an in depth conversation before I rented to ensure I was the kind of person he wanted in his property. This is in a neighborhood and each resident expects respect of their personal privacy and comfort regarding noise and traffic. This is understandable and makes the location even more desirable for safety reasons as well as general warmth in spirit! As a single woman I felt safe and at ease on this 'up and coming' neighborhood street. A few families, lots of young couples and late 20, early 30 kinds of neighbors. I could not say more about this apartment. I will always look back fondly on my time (a whole month) in this apartment. Good memories and good sleep!
