Calendar), is located in the quiet Bay View neighborhood, two blocks
from Humboldt State University and 7 blocks from the downtown area.
Because of its proximity to HSU, FOREST VIEW STAY is ideal for
parents traveling with or visiting students, academics or guests
conducting business on campus, not to mention visitors vacationing on
the redwoods coast.
This studio suite is on the second story and is situated off of a
lovely garden to the rear of the owners elegant restored 1922
craftsman bungalow. FOREST VIEW STAY has rear property access
adjacent to the off street parking area where its staircase leads up
to a private deck overlooking a pond and waterfall below and Arcata's
community forest to the east. Sliding entry doors open into a
spacious, bright, and cheerful hideaway. The interior is appointed in a rich palette of warm earth tones, enhanced by beautiful oriental carpets and fine art prints. An antique desk provides the ideal workspace for guests using their
laptop commuters with our wireless connection. Multi-level windows,
vaulted ceiling, French doors, and an open floor plan impart a lofty
and spacious ambiance.
Forest View Stay has a dining area with gas fireplace, living room
with a sofa bed which can sleep two, bath with tub/shower
combination, recessed sleeping alcove with an antique queen bed and
large closet, and north facing veranda. Prepare meals in the fully
equipped kitchen and enjoy them at the dining table in front of the
cozy fireplace or sip morning coffee or relax with a glass of wine
while sitting on the deck listening to the birds in the garden and a
waterfall cascading into the pond.
