It is located in the quiet Bay View neighborhood, 1.5 blocks from Humboldt State University and 6 blocks from the downtown Plaza. Because of its proximity to Humboldt State University, Forest View Stay is ideal for parents traveling with or visiting students, academics or guests conducting business on campus, not to mention visitors vacationing on the redwoods coast.
This studio suite is on the second story and is situated off of a lovely garden to the rear of the owners elegant restored 1922 craftsman bungalow. Forest View Stay has rear property access adjacent to the off street parking area where its staircase leads up to a private deck overlooking a pond and waterfall below and Arcata's community forest to the east. A sliding entry door opens into a spacious, bright, and cheerful vacation rental.
The interior is appointed in a rich palette of warm earth tones, enhanced by beautiful oriental carpets and fine art prints. An antique desk provides the ideal workspace for guests using their laptop computers with our wireless connection. Multi-level windows, vaulted ceiling, French doors, and an open floor plan impart a lofty and spacious ambiance.
Forest View Stay has a dining area with gas fireplace, living room with a sofa which converts into a double bed, day bed which offers an additional sleeping option, bath with tub/shower combination, recessed sleeping alcove with an antique queen bed and large closet, and north facing veranda.
