We have two comfortable and convenient apartments with many luxurious features that our guests love.  Our other apartment can be found at listing number 84095.  We are fortunate enough to have many past guests who agree. This apartment has 3 bedrooms and each has a queen bed. It sleeps a maximum of 6 people. We also have a queen air bed that can be set up for one extra sleeping space

We are just south of downtown Chicago and very close to McCormick Place (our convention center) I.I.T., and U.S. Cellular Field, home of the 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox.

Our rentals are located 15 minutes or less from our city center and the destinations that most people want to visit.  The travel time is less than 10 minutes to McCormick Place.    If you are coming for a show at McCormick Place, please let us know and we'll send you information on how best to get there from our building.

We have a bus 1/2 city block from our door to the orange line train stop and McCormick Place or the red line train is a 1/2 mile walk away.  Both trains can get you anywhere in the city.   It is a very fast trip to downtown, the museums and all of the great attractions of Chicago.

Our daily newspaper, the Chicago Sun Times recently reported that our neighborhood was voted the best place to trick or treat based on the safety and the family atmosphere of our area.  This is what they had to say.

The best neighborhood for trick-or-treating in Chicago? Bridgeport, says a real estate web site that says it factored in where a kid's likely to get "the most candy, with the least walking and minimal safety risks."

Bridgeport gets props from Zillow as "really a family neighborhood."

Please take a look at the photo that was taken from our deck and you can
see just how close we are.

You can view a better map of our location at Google Maps by typing in the following information.

529 W. 37th Street Chicago IL 60609.    This is not our address, but it is very close.   Scam artists steal details like these and create their own online ads on free sites, so we can't list our address for security reasons.   The exact address will be provided to guests when they book their rental.

The map is at street level, so please zoom it out a level or two and
scroll north or click the up arrow for north to see where we are at relative to downtown and McCormick Place. McCormick Place is located at Cermak Road (22nd St) and Lake Shore Drive which is 2.8 miles northeast of our rental.

When the map loads, you can click “get directions” to enter an address or “search nearby” to search for most of the attractions that most people want to go to such as Navy Pier, Millenium Park, our Museums, the theatre district, and stores on our Magnificent Mile shopping area on Michigan Avenue.

Another bonus of staying in our neighborhood is that you won't hear
sirens and street noise all night long here.   This is a quiet and safe neighborhood.

If you have a larger group, we have two apartments in this building that are available.   The hot tub and deck are shared between the two units.

If you are driving or renting a car, we include one parking space in our two car garage and possibly both spaces if other guests aren't using the second space.

We have a 4 night minimum in summer and a 3 or 4 night minimum the rest of the year.   We will consider  We have a one week minimum for July 4th and the December holidays and 5 nights for Thanksgiving and the Chicago Marathon weekend.

We offer shorter rentals than our minimum at the last minute or if that is what we have available between other rentals.   Shorter rentals are usually priced higher to cover our fixed cleaning and paperwork costs unless we offer a last minute special.

Our summer 2011 rates vary from $210 to $270 per night depending on the length and timing of your stay.  Those rates include lodging tax of 15.4% and our cleaning costs.

Please inquire with your dates and we will respond with our best rate quote for your stay.

Street parking is very easy 90% of the time, but can be tight during games for the 80 or so games when the White Sox are in town.

Baseball fans will love that we are a 5 minute walk to U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox.   For Cubs fans, the train run directly between both ballparks.

traveler reviews for this chicago apartment rental

Awesome!

martoonz (Harrison Twp., Mich)
Review submitted: November 21, 2011   Date of arrival: November 18, 2011

We had a group of 10 and rented both apartments. I cannot tell you what a fabulous time we had! These apartments are extremely clean and well maintained. The appliances are like brand new and the bedding is super super comfortable!! You do not have to walk outside to get to the hot tub, which is really nice. It was already heated to 102 for us before we arrived. The neighborhood is very safe but grocery and liquor stores are not real close.....a car or cab is needed. We walked to the red line which is about a 10 minute walk. Bob was excellent to work with......the loads of information that he sends you when you book is so very helpful...Thank You Bob!! Would HIGHLY recommend this apartment!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car

Owners response: Thank you for your very nice comments. We do have two corner stores that are one half block and one and a half blocks away that have necessities and a great hot deli. Our full sized grocery store is two thirds of a mile and the liquor store is one mile. A bar two blocks away sells beer for carry out. Our guests can also stop at trader joes or jewel foods at the south end of downtown to shop and it's a ten minute cab ride from there.

Great place to stay!! Was in town for 5 days for a family wedding and really wanted the comfort of home instead of staying at a hotel. The place was clean, the shower was amazing, great kitchen and was very affordable. The neighborhood was beautiful. My family enjoyed long walks around the blocks, felt very safe. When we come back to Chicago will stay there again. My family and I recommend this place.!!Cant wait to come back!!!

All I can say about my experience is "Great!! Great location. Great neighborhood. I actually walked to the White Sox game. The apartment was very nice and relaxing. The neighborhood is very quaint. I enjoyed walking the neighborhood and felt very safe. Cab ride to Downtown is also very inexpensive. If your looking to immerse yourself in the culture of Chicago, I would highly recommend this place.
