Luna Vista II Cottage in Belgrade Lakes

You are greeted by the call of the loons as you come down the camp
road to the Luna Vista II. The cottage is nestled in the trees on
the edge of Messalonskee Lake in the Belgrade Lakes chain. You can
start the day off with beautiful sunrises and end the day with the
gorgeous view of the rising moon over the lake. Spend the days
swimming, boating, fishing, or just relaxing in this peaceful
setting. A careful observer should also be able to spy the resident
bald eagles and ospreys on the lake.

The main floor of the cottage consists of 2 bedrooms with double
beds, a living room, bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and kitchen
with a stove, refrigerator, and toaster oven. Upstairs is a sleeping
loft with a double bed and a twin bed. The living room opens onto an
enclosed porch with new combination windows so the porch views of the
lake can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. The porch is a great
place to eat a meal and enjoy the sights and sounds of the lake.
Electric heaters and a woodburning stove keep things cozy on cool
nights and a ceiling fan keeps the cottage comfortable during the day.
Towels, sheets, and bedding are provided.
Outside is a large flat lawn with lawn furniture, picnic tables, gas
grill, and fire pit. There is a dock with a rowboat for your use and
a great swim area.

Messalonskee Lake is known for its great fishing and the 7-mile long
lake is ideal for swimming, water skiing, kayaking, sailing or just
floating on warm summer days. The Luna Vista II is only 20-30
minutes from Augusta and Waterville which offer shopping, restaurants
and movie theaters as well as other entertainment including concerts,
bowling, and county fairs. In season, farmers markets offer fresh
local produce.

Rental weeks are available June through September at the rate of $850
per week.
