Approaching through a winding private drive lined with ancient live
oaks, its own vineyard of mature zinfandel grapes to the right,
guests arrive at this soulful home beautifully sited on 8 acres
in the Bennett Valley. The grounds offer a lush natural landscape in
the heart of Sonoma's Wine Country yet under an hour's drive from San
Francisco.
Three grassy acres are a perfect setting for impromptu soccer games or
gentle picnicking while five acres of wooded trails, creek beds and
large old growth oaks provide endless outdoor fun for children and
adults alike. Wildlife lovers will be delighted. We regularly see
owls, hawks, deer, wild turkey, and fox. And if this weren't enough,
22 flowering fruit trees grace the property producing exquisite plums,
pears, apples and persimmons.
The built-in pool and spa are nearly perfect as they are placed
gracefully into this landscape. Enjoy a steaming hot tub at night
under the moon and oaks followed by a quick dip in the pool, all
beautifully lit for just such occasions. If you and your group
appreciate privacy and “artisan luxury”, you will love Peracca Road.
The House: Tall glass walls offer light and views of the natural
gardens, vineyard, and fruit orchard, while relaxing in contemporary
luxury. The lower level of the home features slate and maple
flooring, ancient fir beams, an open living room with hearth and
woodstove, spacious dining, Mexican tile kitchen, and a great room
with stone fireplace, entertainment kitchen and French doors leading
to outdoor deck, expansive, level lawn. Make your way across the lawn
and there, tucked into a private benched terrace surrounded by a
woodland grove, lies the artful pool with stone spa and large patio
area. On the ground floor there is also a large bedroom with queen bed
a master bathroom with shower and indoor jacuzzi tub, as well as an
office with pullout trundle day bed which sleeps two comfortably.
Cascade stairs lead to the second floor balcony overlooking cathedral
ceiling living room. On the second floor there is a master bedroom
with skylights, King bed and room to spare, a large 2nd bedroom with
king bed and views of the valley, a loft bedroom with 2 twin beds
perfect for kids and teens.

Completely equipped Kitchen, laundry room. No maid service, except by
arrangement, but all extra linens and towels provided. Robes
provided. 2 fireplaces inside. Gas grill on deck just outside French
doors from kitchen. Front deck w/comfortable furn. Large deck and
expansive, level lawn in back, perfect for playing soccer with the
kids. Incredible views of Bennett Ridge and our own vineyards from
most rooms. Iron, coffee maker, blender, stand mixer,
waffle iron. Some basic foodstuffs (coffee, cream, spices, butter,
pasta, olive oil). TV, c.d. player, dvd and VCR player, collection of
DVDs, Xbox, Nintendo Wii and collection of games. Broadband and
wireless internet access for your laptop. 5 phones, local calls.

Central to hundreds of wineries and tasting rooms, closest one a mile
away. 15 minutes from Glen Ellen and Kenwood, 20 minutes south of
charming Healdsburg, 25 minutes west of Calistoga, 30 minutes from
Sonoma, 40 from Napa County. 45 minutes from beautiful Sonoma County
beaches (stop and see the Redwoods on the way!). Safari West African
Wild Animal Park 25 min. away. We are like the hub of a wheel, with
wineries, beaches, mountains, lakes, etc., in every direction.
Professional golf course 3 miles away. World class restaurants in
Santa Rosa, Healdsburg, Sonoma, etc. 50 min. from San Francisco.
Russian River or Lake Sonoma for boating, canoeing, kayaking,

But truth be told, we often never leave the property, with deer
trails and creeks to explore, a hot tub that heats up to 102 in
20 minutes, a pool, vineyards, and lots and lots of space both indoors
and out for a family or even two to spread out in, this place is just
heaven. We love to entertain here and you will too.
