Aripeka is a small fishing village located on the Gulf of Mexico, an
hour northwest of Tampa. The feeling of being off the beaten path
prevails even though all the amenities of shopping, grocery stores
and restaurants are as little as 5 miles away. An excellent days
fishing in the Gulf is possible with local boat rentals or deep sea
fishing guide. Enjoy exploring freshwater coastal marsh and springs
nestled in unspoiled woods from the canoe at the house or rentals on
the clear Weeki Wachee River. Try your luck on the many local golf
courses or bike and hike in the nearby Nature Preserve. Beautiful,
sandy world class beaches are just 45-60 minutes south from Tarpon
Springs to St. Petersburg.
For the kids, Weeki Wachee Water Park and Mermaid Show or the shallow
water beach of Pine Island is close. Busch Gardens in Tampa and
Disney and the Orlando attractions are great for day trips. Come home
to the relaxation of a poolside barbecue and the serenity of sunsets
