vacation rental description
Bright and sunny lakeside cottage in Coastal Maine located near
Pemaquid Point area within 5 minutes of lighthouses and ocean
beaches. This home is newly built(2004) and is funished with
everything to make your vacation enjoyable and peaceful. Located on a
little traveled camp road you will find there is no traffic noise or
close neighbors to the cottage. The kitchen is well supplied with
everything you would need for cooking including a lobster pot and
does have a dishwasher for easy cleanup. The dining room has a
cathedral ceiling and there is a sleeping loft with a foldout futon.
The gas fireplace will take the evening chill out of the air or you
also have a centeral heating system for early spring use.

There is a television with a satellite connection which includes HBO
and free movies. The kitchen has an electric range, dishwasher,
blender, and coffee maker. The two bedrooms on the first floor have
full size beds and are close to the full bathroom on the same level.
The 400 square foot deck will accommodate a large party and there is
patio table and chairs for your use. The deck has a large sun awning
if the weather gets too warm. The large stainless grill is perfect
for cooking for a large family and the weather is usually very
pleasant in the summer for outside activities. The waterside dock and
float are located near the cottage and are for your use only. We do
supply an Old Town 2 Person Kayak and 16 foot canoe for your use will
you stay at the cottage. There are four adult life jackets and
paddles for your use with the watercraft.

The cottage is located in Bristol a coastal town within 5 minutes of
Damariscotta Village which has amply shopping and dining locations.
The Ocean beaches in Pemaquid are minutes away from the cottage and
the Pemaquid Lighthouse is a great spot to spend the afternoon
watching the surf crash on the granite ledges. There are also guided
tours of Puffin Nest and whale watching out of New Harbor. The deep
sea fishing trips are usually arranged from Boothbay Harbor which is
a 30 minute drive for the cottage. Horseback riding is also close by
in Nobleboro at the Stonewall Stables and riding area.
