The "Island Dog Cottage" is a charming, classic Tybee Beach Cottage completely restored by preservationist, Jane Coslick, which includes bright island colors, local art, and shabby chic decor. This cottage was featured in the "Tybee Tour of Homes" and truly reflects the flavor of Tybee Island. The cottage is located along the desired "mid-beach", which allows for a less-crowded beach area during the busy season, yet only a short walk either way to the pier/shops/restaurants or the Tybee Lighthouse. It is four houses back from the beach with NO streets to cross.It is a short 2-minute walk to the beach access.   ~~This is the place where memories are made~~

The cottage has a large, shady, fenced yard, a very comfortable wrap-around screened porch where you can curl up with a good book, and an open front porch for sun-lovers complete with colorful adirondack chairs. The cottage offers two levels with separate entrances, so it's perfect for two families, a group of friends, or branches of a family that desire some privacy. It can be rented either as a 3 or 5 bedroom cottage.

The main level has 3 bedrooms, master with a king bed and private bath, a 2nd large bedroom with a queen bed and large closet, and a 3rd bedroom with bunk beds. Also on this level is a second full bath, family room, dining area, and kitchen. The WIFI will keep you connected to your business or family and friends during your stay.

The lower level has 2 bedrooms, one large bedroom with a queen bed, and another bedroom with a bunk bed (twin on top and full-size bed on the bottom). Also on this level is a bathroom and large laundry room with full-size washer and dryer. The outdoor shower is enclosed for privacy and has cold/hot water. There is also a large, covered/open-air gathering place with plenty of seating and storage for your bicycles, surfboards, kayaks, and all your beach gear. Enjoy OUR beach chairs, sand toys, and cooler for your time at the beach.

Once you cross the bridge to Tybee Island, you'll understand the phenomenon of being on "Tybee Time", where all your cares simply melt away.

Tybee Island offers the best in outdoor activites. . . dolphin-watching, shelling, deep-sea fishing, windsurfing, parasailing, biking the trails throughout the island, jet-ski rentals, kayak tours, wildlife-watching, and visits to the Tybee Lighthouse, Fort Pulaski, and Marine Science Museum. There are many shops with local art and wonderful restaurants that serve fresh seafood right off the boat. The grocery store is 2 blocks away and the library (also 2 blocks) offers "beach-reads" for free without a library card.

Bring your bikes or rent some on the Island and that can easily be your mode of transportation for your stay.

A short 15 minute drive takes you to Savannah, where you can enjoy lively River Street, book a ghost tour or wander through Historic Homes.

This property can be rented as a 3 or 5 bedroom cottage, depending on your needs.
