Inside and out, this beautiful Orcas Island vacation home is a truly special getaway and perfect for large groups or multi-family vacations! With five bedrooms, three baths, and two full kitchens and cozy living areas on two sunny floors, there is plenty of space inside for up to fourteen guests. Sitting on five beautiful acres of open fields and wildlife viewing, including a private pond, you can enjoy your own slice of Orcas Island paradise, complete with amazing views of Turtleback Mountain and Crow Valley.

On sunny days, the home's wraparound deck and garden patio will ensure everyone has a private spot to soak up the fresh island air. Choose from two barbecues when it's time to grill up dinner, or stoke the fire in the backyard pit to roast marshmallows after dinner. On warm afternoons, stage a field day of games with all the equipment needed for horseshoes, volleyball, croquet, and badminton.

If the rain does fall, the home itself is full of activities and cozy spaces to curl up with a good book, and separate living and dining spaces ensure that multiple families traveling together will each have plenty of space to do their own vacation bonding. Each floor has its own full kitchen and living area, with TVs offering satellite cable and a nice movie library for those drizzly afternoons. The upper level has a beautiful brick fireplace, while the lower level has a cozy wood stove of its own.

Each floor has two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, and the fifth bedroom has two twins. There are three full baths, with one offering a deep soaking tub to soothe sore muscles after a long day of hiking or exploring.

The house is centrally located on the island, equidistant to the Orcas ferry landing and the village of Eastsound. You can enjoy plenty of privacy to unwind, but still be within three miles of groceries, restaurants, and shopping in the village.

West Sound is around the corner with beautiful water views and a great restaurant. A nice mile long, flattish walk with the family or friends is a nice morning outing from Cedar Field!

Turtleback Mountain nearby (seen from Cedar Field) is a recently protected nature preserve that offers great hiking and distant views of the islands. Also, Moran State Park only 15 minutes away has a host of walking, boating, swimming, and bicycling available. Fun guided whale watching and sea kayaking trips are available daily, only a ten minute drive away.
