Casa Las Orquideas in Puerto Morelos

Casa Las Orquideas is an unpretentious oasis of calm in this crazy world, located two blocks from the Caribbean, and a short walk into the quaint town center of Puerto Morelos.

The 3BR/3BA house is light and airy, the perfect retreat for two + couples or a family. Located on a quiet street, the charming garden, complete with refreshing pool, backs onto the manglar, a protected wetland.

Two large bedrooms, each with a tiled bathroom, have either king or twin capability. The third bedroom has a small tiled bathroom, a double bed, and bunkbeds.  There is capability for additional sleeping space on air mattresses.

The living room is comfortable for entertaining, or just relaxing. The dining table seats 6 - 8, and the kitchen is open and well-equipped.

There are areas outside the house, by the gardens or the pool, for reading, eating, or relaxing.

This is a non-smoking property.

Conveniences include:

- ceiling fans in all rooms, plus extra portable units
- a well-equipped kitchen with a full stove w/ oven, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, various pats and pans, dishes, and cutlery
- bed linens, bath and beach towels
- TV with cable service, and internet connection for your laptop
- Sirius radio system, and  DVD library
- eclectic library of books
- washer/dryer combo
- kayak and bicycle
- maid/cleaning service is not included, but can be arranged by request

In Puerto Morelos, life is a beach! Here you can access all sorts of water activities, including swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, para sailing, exploring fresh water cenotes, fishing, boating, and more. In addition to "the beach," Puerto Morelos and the Yucatan Peninsula offer so many other interesting adventures. Several Mayan ruin sites are nearby, as are the two colonial cities of Valledolid and Merida. Puerto Morelos has many fine restaurants, a small museum, the Casa de la Cultura, offering a variety of classes, a Mayan Market and Spa, a Botanical Garden, and many local tour capabilities. Best of all, this is a well known center of energy and renewal, and is the perfect place to walk on the beach, relax, and enjoy the sunrise on the Caribbean.

The rate to rent the house for one week between April 15 and November 15 is $1400*, or, $200* per day (minimum of three days stay). The rate to rent the house for one week between November 15 and April 15 is $1750*, or, $250* per day (minimum of three days stay). One half of the fee is due when reserving Casa Las Orquideas, and the remainder is due upon arrival, (plus a $100 damage deposit, to be returned when you leave). Cancellation closer than one week before arrival equals forfeiture of deposit. Other rental options are available, and can be arranged with owner.
