Cute cabin

Very charming, old style cabin on the outside. Loved the use of branches instead of porch rails. Huge deck out back.

The inside was beautifully decorated with homey touches and country style. For example even the toilet tissue holders were adorable. One was a black bear. There is a big claw foot tub in the bathroom.

My only negative was the quality of the sound system when you play DVD's. This was not a big issue since we spent most of our time out hiking.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Mountain Christmas

My family and I rented Laurel Haven for the week of Christmas. The cabin was immaculately clean and had lovely touches of Christmas (a tree, garland, rugs, dishes, etc...). The owners took wonderful care of us, making sure we had everything we needed. We had a lot of snow and were snowed in for a couple of days. The cabin was a perfect place to enjoy ourselves with ping pong and fuseball in the basement and a gas fireplace to snuggle around. The owners were very helpful in making sure my family and I were safe. We were very sad to have to leave our mountain get-a-way and we can not wait to get back up there when the weather is milder.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, sight seeing, romantic getaway
