Cozy beach house in Galvestonâ€™s beautiful Pirates Beach just 8 miles west of 61st street . This 3/2 home is quite spacious because in addition to the 3 bedrooms it has a loft that is great for kids and young adults. A nice beach is just a short 1 Â½ blocks and a 5 minute walk all within the neighborhood without having to cross any highways. Located in Galveston Islandâ€™s West End but yet a short 10 minute ride to the Schittlerbahn Water Park and Moody Gardens . Restaurants , groceries and other Galveston city attractions are only minutes away yet apart from the peaceful environment at Pirates Beach. Pets OK if house trained.

Galveston Island, TX is the up and coming place to be in the Gulf Coast and Pirates Beach is one of the most attractive neighborhoods in West Beach. The beach is great for swimming and wade fishing with clean and warm water to relax in. The historic East end of the island will appeal to history buffs, shoppers, sightseers and theater lovers. The Grand Opera House has been entertaining locals and visitors for over 100 years. A drive through Old Galveston will make you think you are living in the previous century. You can also visit the Schittlerbahn Water Park or Moody Gardens and the kids will have a blast! Galveston also has a fantastic and challenging 18 hole Municipal Golf Course that has recently been renovated. If you like offshore fishing you can sign up with charter boats or just wade in the beach water and go for those redfish and trout. Galveston has terrific restaurants with seafood as fresh as they come, and the beaches and the sun are always there waiting for you!

Easiest rental ever!

This house was perfect for my Mother's Day weekend with my family of five plus our little Westie! The beach was about 6 houses down the beautiful street within Pirates Beach. Just walking to the sand was enjoyable as you pass and admire the other goreous beach houses in this high-end community. Cheerfully decorated and very relaxing to be in, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My eight year old daughter had a room to herself while the two teenage boys were very comfortable with the two double beds up in the loft which overlooked the living room. Our bedroom had it's own TV and sliding door to the deck. My parents joined us on Satuday and decided to stay the night. They had their own room to use. There was plenty of space for everyone! The kitchen and living room was open and well suited for visiting and entertaining. No dining table but who needs one with the huge island that accommodated eight! The huge sliding doors and floor to ceiling windows allowed the beautiful Galveston skies to be viewed from the kitchen, living room, and loft. There was a private outdoor shower downstairs that everyone loved as well as a convenient secondary full bath so you wouldn't have to run upstairs to get cleaned up from the beach or to use the restroom. The house was fully stocked with just about everything you might need. Mercedes Suarez is so pleasant to speak with and made the whole rental process just about the easiest that I've experienced. Thank you Mercedes! Hope to do it again very soon!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway
