If you are looking for a large property with plenty of character, then you need look no further than Whitmuir House.  Just over 3 miles from Selkirk (all facilities), right in the middle of the beautiful Scottish Borders, this house is perfectly positioned to explore  a region rich in history and exceptionally varied landscape.  This is a lovely part of the country for touring, walking or simply relaxing in its peace and tranquillity.  Walkers can take advantage of both the Southern Upland and St Cuthbert’s Ways, there is riding at Ashkirk (10m) and many excellent golf courses within a 10 mile radius. Edinburgh itself is just over an hour’s drive away.

Whitmuir House is perfect for entertaining.  The striking dining room and rather splendid sitting room, complete with a large open fire and fender seats, will be a joy to share with company.  The games room with full size snooker table is bound to please and there are views across the parklands in front of the property over to the Minto hills.  Up the unusual spiral staircase there are two double bedrooms, two twins, one single, a sizeable walk through sitting area with settee and TV, two bathrooms and an additional lavatory.

When you step out of Whitmuir House you are surrounded by a large, wooded, private garden complete with croquet lawn and pavilion.

Heating is by oil central heating (INCLUDED) and open fire (starter pack INCLUDED).  Electricity, bed linen and towels are also INCLUDED in the rental.  Sorry, no pets or smokers.  A refundable householders deposit is required.
