Vacation Rental Description

Harbour Oaks is a gracious brick home on 5 magnificantly landscaped  
acres on the water in Bristol, about 20 minutes from Newport and 30 
minutes from Providence.  The  
house has been totally renovated with new baths, marble  
kitchen/family room/breakfast room and air conditioning throughout. A 
stereo system operates through the first floor and the house was both 
wired and wireless internet. 
 
Six air conditioned bedrooms accomodate 12 people with a queen size 
sleep sofa adding space for two more people. 
 
The house sits across from a 400 acre park with a bike path that  
extends 16 miles up to Providence.  A dock with floats facilitates  
swimming and boating.  A formal perennial garden and huge beech trees  
add to the appeal.  Vegetables, fruit trees and a cutting garden are  
on the property.  Bristol is an extremely attractive small town with  
fine restaurants and museums, just a short drive from Newport or  
Providence.  It is filled with picturesque colonial homes, museums  
and great restaurants. 
 
Bristol was long the home of America's Cup yachts and many sailing  
events are held in Narragansett Bay and Bristol Harbor.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Amenities include air conditioning, dock and floats, bicycles, croquet  
and badminton, an outdoor shower, water sports. Flowers, fruits  
and vegetables are grown on the estate grounds.  Nearby are tennis and  
golf, full service health club, riding, etc. 
 
Harbour Oaks has CD stereo sound throughout first floor, three  
televisions, DVD and VCR players and high speed wired and wireless 
internet access. There are fireplaces in kitchen, dining room, living 
room and family room.   
A gas grill is adjacent to one of the bluestone patios.  
 
Master suite has views on three sides, marble bath with  
huge shower, tub, bidet, toilet, heated floors.  
 
Washer/dryer is downstairs in large laundry room.  Kitchen has 2 
dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, restaurant Wolf stove, every convenience 
with marble counters and marble floors.  
 
Ideal entertaining setup with 2 bluestone patios, sunroom, outside  
shower, all linens, Brown Jordan patio furniture.  Large lawn is  
perfect for a tented wedding or anniversery celebration.

Activities and Attractions

Swimming, boating, walking, bicycling (5 bikes are in the bike shed). 
Nearby are a terrific full-service health club, riding, golf and  
tennis.  Kayaks and boats may be rented nearby. 
 
Newport, with all its attractions, is just 20 minutes away.  Cape Cod  
is 45 minutes by highway.  Providence is 30 minutes north.

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates are $12,000 per week, except for several exceptionally high 
demand weeks which are $15,000 per week. 
 
Harbour Oaks has six bedrooms with three upstairs  
bathrooms, all totally renovated and extremely comfortable.  The 
estate is air conditioned and surrounded with beautifully kept 
perennial gardens and specimen trees.
