Five Star Condo in Buffalo Lodge, Unit # 8359

We rate all of our condos based on four criteria in order to make it easier for vacationers to compare different condos in different buildings. The criteria are as follows: unit size and quality, views, proximity to activities and building quality and amenities.

Unit: *****(5 Stars). This 1800 sq ft unit has been used for the owners personal use until the 2009 ski season. This condo has been meticulously cared for and beautifully decorated. It features 25 ft vaulted ceilings in the kitchen, dining, and living room. This condo also features 2 gas fireplaces and two balconies. Guests will also enjoy the hand scraped, hardwood floors, frieze carpet, and granite countertops.

View **** (5 Stars) This condo features views of River Run Village from the private balcony in the 1st master bedroom. You will enjoy views of the village and the ski slopes on the 2nd balcony. From the living room, kitchen, or dining room, you will see mountain and village views through the many windows.

Builing Quality & Amenities ****(4 Stars) Buffalo Lodge was completed in the late 90s and is one of the more exclusive buildings in the resort. This means there is less congestion in the building during busy times and all units are a short walk from the elevator.

Speaking of elevators, there two high speed elevators that services only 90 units. There is an access controlled underground heated garage. Laundry facilities are located on both the first and fifth floor. Buffalo Lodge has a game room with two pool tables, big screen TV, and beautifully decorated gathering areas for large groups.

This building also shares a heated pool , sauna, and two, eight person hot tubs with its sister building, Dakota Lodge. The pool and hot tubs have views of Dercum Mountain and the ski slopes. There is also a sauna on the first floor.

Looking for a last minute deal (21 days or less)? If you find a comparable condo that is priced lower than ours, upon verification, we will beat the deal you found by $5 per night. To be fair we must make an apples to apples comparison.

We must charge 5.775% sales tax, but we do not charge the optional 5% resort charge. An average sized unit with no views is not comparable to a premium oversized unit. Also, some other management companies charge the 5% resort fee. Our cleaning fee is approximately 10% lower than Keystone Property Management. We allow guests to pay by check if paid within 25 days of arrival. If you prefer to pay by credit, we charge a 3% transaction fee.

We believe in being honest and straightforward with you. What you see is what you get. Don't be fooled by some individuals and management companies that make a good pitch but nickel and dime you or mislead you about what you are getting.

This unit is professionally managed by Summit County Mountain Retreats. We are the most guest oriented and down to earth company in the area. It is our goal for you to have a worry free stay and enable you to interact with caring and competent people who want your vacation to be all it can be. Special services that we offer include fast check-in service.

We send you keycards in the mail, so you can drive directly into the private parking garage and immediately enter your condo. Additionally, we are constantly looking for discounts and great deals for vacationers. We provide our guests extensive information about the area, great places to eat, discounts on equipment rentals, discounts on lift tickets and other information that we believe will help make your stay most enjoyable. In the unlikely event of a problem, we offer 24 hour maintenance service and lockout service.

Activities ***** (5 Stars) When you exit Buffalo Lodge, you will be steps from excellent businesses including restaurants, shopping, bars, winter and summer sports rentals and great people watching. It is also approximately 150 meters to the new high speed, eight passenger gondola. In your ski boots and carrying your skis, it will take about three minutes to get to the gondola.

Please note that if you are making a reservation more than 3 months in advance, prices may vary.   Prices will also be higher for festival weekends in Keystone.
