The Waipouli Beach Resort:

#21 in the World

A two-master-bedroom suite condo in an oceanfront Luxury Kauai Resort that won the prestigious Parade of Homes Award of Excellence in 2006 and was rated #1 in Hawaii by the Expedia Insiders club. With the upscale design and fine materials of a luxury hotel, this unique combination of hotel-type amenities and the comforts of home will enable you to experience a luxurious yet affordable vacation on the Garden Island of Kauai. The Resort is located on the Eastside, an ideal central location for your Kauai vacation.

A Day At Your Condo:

You might start your day with a golden sunrise, a cup of Hawaii-grown coffee and a candy-sweet papaya from the local farmers’ market or perhaps with a barefoot walk on the golden sands of Waipouli Beach. A passerby says, "Aloha." A lone fisherman casts his line. A kayaker heads out to sea. And, as the salt air clears your mind, you realize…it feels different here…..

Surround yourself in the warm trade winds as you watch the shimmering waters of the Pacific and your children frolic in the 2-acre lazy-river pool as it winds through a lush tropical landscape complete with waterfalls, two water slides, a sand-bottom pool for young children, a "secret" grotto, and three whirlpool spas. Enjoy a refreshing drink and a snack at the Tahitian Lanai beachfront bar and grill.  Treat yourself to a relaxing spa treatment at the on-site full-service AVEDA spa. Dine on the lanai as the sun sets with its nightly display of color. Lounge in the Living room as you enjoy a full spectrum of entertainment with the large flat screen television, DVD, Stereo & CD player. Relax with a movie that was filmed on Kauai and try to identify where the scenes were filmed. Retreat to one of the tropical theme Master Bedroom Suites and enjoy a book from the condo library and the soothing sounds of the waves. Prepare a picnic lunch or a gourmet meal in a kitchen fit for a chef. Your condo is a place you will enjoy, remember, and look forward to visiting again.

Activities abound. Kayaking, boogie boarding, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, body boarding, kite surfing, the list goes on. You will find snorkel and beach gear in your condo. Hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding are just a few of the possible day's diversions. For the more adventurous, there's also hang gliding, deep-sea fishing, water-skiing and helicopter rides. All activities come with free-of-charge, breath-stealing, natural beauty.  Also, while you can’t use this as an excuse every time you want to come, Kauai is a popular place to get married as well as to honeymoon.

Everything you need is within strolling distance. Coconut Marketplace is a treasure-filled wonderland. Kauai Village is right across the road. Wander around either one and you'll find boutiques, fine dining spots, hole-in-the-wall eateries, jewelry stores, art galleries, healing and wellness centers, grocery stores, and a pharmacy. You'll spot everything from fresh leis to fresh vegetables, aloha shirts to hibiscus soaps, and hand-carved koa bowls to handmade quilts.

Or--You might kick back and let your stress melt away in the warm sun and gentle trade winds of Kauai. Our guests sometimes have difficulty realizing they don’t have to do anything! Catamaran cruises, world-class golf courses, surfing, snorkeling, hiking, hula shows, luaus, and sight-seeing can easily use up your day. It’s OK to lie for hours on the beach or by the pool, or sit on one of your lanais and watch the surf.

You'll find that the people of Kauai offer a welcoming spirit of aloha that makes you feel right at home. You will fall in love with the beauty of Kauai and its people.

Perhaps it's the natural beauty of Kauai that brings out the best in people or maybe it's the island tradition of gracious hospitality. Whatever the reason, you'll find that the people of Kauai offer a welcoming "spirit of aloha" that makes you feel right at home. We have fallen in love with the beauty of Kauai and it's people:

Kauai is known as the "Garden Island" due to its lush landscape and the natural beauty of its waterfalls, quiet lagoons and pristine beaches. Its rivers and streams nourish an abundance of trees, flowering plants and exotic birds, some of which cannot be found anywhere else. Scenic wonders include Waimea Canyon, Hanalei Valley, Kilauea Lighthouse and wildlife refuge, Fern Grotto, many stunning beaches and, for the courageous, Kalalau Valley.

You've probably seen more of Kauai than you realize, and a drive from our condo toward the north shore might seem suddenly familar to you as you pass  the scene where stampeding dinosaurs nearly stomped the humans in "Jurassic Park".

Much of the island is untouched by human development, and you can explore it by foot, boat, plane or helicopter. The Waimea Canyon, "the grand canyon of the pacific", the rocky NaPali Coast, and the beautiful Hanalei Valley offer breathtaking vistas. Wherever you go in Kauai, the lush beauty of the island is with you. Perhaps you'll take advantage of some of the world's finest beaches, golf courses and restaurants. Or you might go surfing, snorkeling, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, or driving among kauai's natural splendors. Possibilities for exploring the outdoor treasures on Kauai are unlimited. We keep a list of things we want to do and it keeps getting longer even though we try to do some of them whenever we can.

Or-- you might kick back and let your stress melt away in the warm sun and gentle trade winds of Kauai. Our guests sometimes have difficulty realizing they don't have to do anything! Catamaran cruises, world-class golf courses, surf, snorkeling, hiking, hula shows, luaus, and sight-seeing, can use up your day. With weather that is moderate year around, average temperatures range from 70 to 81 degrees F and it's OK to lie on the beach or sit on one of your lanais and watch the surf. Also, while you can't use this as an excuse every time you want to come, Kauai is a popular place to get married as well as to honeymoon.

Our convenient location on Kauai's Eastside :
Appropriately dubbed the "Coconut Coast," Kauai's East Side is a mystical region filled with history and culture. Wailua, a short distance to the south, is a sacred and significant place for the ancient Hawaiian "ali'i" (royalty). Take advantage of all its offerings: the Wailua River State Park, Fern Grotto, Wailua Falls, and other gems. Opaekaa Falls is an unforgettable photo op. A historic restored Hawaiian village lies on the riverbanks.

Be sure to find time for a leisurely stroll through Kapaa Town and its funky and fine shopping, including some great Hawaiian crafts, aloha-print shirts, jewelry and fine art objects.

Wherever you go, you'll quickly fall in love with our beautiful garden island of Kauai.

Come "Live Aloha" on our Kauai Island-and pass it on!

"a terrific value for your money"

Review submitted: December 15, 2011   Date of arrival: January 6, 2011

We truly enjoyed our experience at the Waipouli Beach Resort, F402. The owners have used a lot of care and planning in this unit. There is a lot of extra things such as snorkel gear, a portable grocery cart, beach items, etc. The kind of attention-to-detail that makes a guest feel right at home and welcomed. This is also a terrific value for your money. The unit is well-appointed, luxurious, and comfortable. Due to our own vacation planning, we spent our last night at a 4-star hotel down the road from the Waipouli Beach Resort. It was really a come-down to spend your last night in a loud, cramped, hotel room after our WBR f402 condo. Thank you Kathleen for your graciousness and professional service. We hope to be back soon.

All the comforts of home plus more

Review submitted: September 5, 2011   Date of arrival: August 16, 2011

This condo fit our needs perfectly. We traveled with our grown children and our 6 month old and 2 year old grandsons. This condo was lovely. It was upscale, clean, well furnished, and it felt like home. I felt comfortable right away. It had plenty of space for us not to feel on top of each other. Close your door to your bedroom and feel like you were in your own hotel room. The walls must have been great because we never heard a neighbor. The owners were great to work with and informative which calmed my nerves as I did the reservations. We slept great, good beds and linens (which is important to me). My grandsons would tell you that they loved the pool! Actually, we all did. Usually, we are out early morning till night and never see a resort pool...but when traveling with little ones, it was great to use. All the extras the condo comes with such as sand toys, beach chairs, snorkeling gear and beach towels was such a plus. We really appreciated how thoughtful the owners were for providing all the extras. We did sneak away from the grandbabies to the restaurant on site, It was lovely with beachfront dining and wonderful food and drink. Thank you to Kathy and Jim for sharing your lovely home with us. This was our 3rd visit to Kauai and I am sure it won't be our last. We look forward to using your place again.

"Possibly the most beautiful resort we have stayed in."
Stunningly Beautiful Resort & Fantastic Room - Pool and Rec area like non other. The Condo was beautiful - they had everything you needed from Beach toys, Boogie Boards, and Snorkel gear to coolers and chairs. 4th Floor views were beautiful. Resort next to beach, literally a 1 minute walk to see the sunrise. Possibly the most beautiful resort we have stayed in. The kids wanted to stay here all day and play in the pool area. Great Location as you are 30 minutes from anywhere on the island (Waimea Canyon, Na Pali Coast, Northshore). We look forward to coming back.
