Single Family w/ 4 Bedrooms - 2 Bathrooms - Sleeps 8 w/ Pool
Located just 80 miles north of Eureka, Crescent City California
is "where the Redwoods meet the sea".We are the gateway community to
the State and National Redwood forrests.
Our Northern California Coastal Vacation Rental is a 1918 "Craftsman
Style" Home which We restored in 2000 - 2008. We strive for a hypo-
allergenic atmosphere using only latex finishes. No Smoking, No
Pets, we supply a portable Hepa Filter upon request.
In order to preserve the ambiance of this fine home we have retained
as much of it's original feel and charm as we could. We kept the 90
year old clear heart Redwood waterfall siding, we removed
and rewired and reinstalled the 1940's light fixtures, rebuilt the
1951 plumbing
fixtures (1950's green) and lightly sanded and applied a clear latex
finish to the 90 year old hardwood flooring to preserve the character
the years have left. We are currently removing the concrete
sidewalks and replacing them with sanded brick from the fireplace of an
1876 Victorian I remodeled. The end product is a modern home with
the feel of a 1918 Cratsman - warm and comfortable - like you
are "at home".

" The influence of the sea is omnipresent. Cool ocean mists nurture
the giant redwoods. Rich offshore fishing grounds support a thriving
commercial fishery. The rocky chasms and thrilling whitewater of the
Smith River - California's largest wild river system - form the
spectacular centerpiece of the 305,337 acre Smith River National
Recreation Area. And throughout Del Norte County, diverse river- and
sea-creature habitats support an incredible array of wildlife.
Magnificent forest trails, sandy beaches, and river rafting are all
close at hand. Yet for all its accessibility, Del Norte County is
unspoiled and uncrowded - perhaps the most remarkable fact of all.
