Our November 2011 Visit

Dennis (Wisconsin)
Review submitted: December 10, 2011   Date of arrival: November 2, 2011

My wife and I stayed in Rebecca’s Chestnut St. house for one month and really enjoyed our time there. The house is small, charming, and cozy. We enjoyed the gas fireplace almost nightly. The kitchen is well equipped and modern. The internet was excellent. There was adequate open air parking for two vehicles next to the house. There was a nice small side porch we sat on when the weather permitted. The Montfort location was close to downtown and we walked there frequently. It was maybe about a 6 block walk. And with close proximity to I-240 it was easy to drive places. We enjoyed our stay very much. The photos make us miss it, and they accurately portray what it looks like. Rebecca was very nice and went out of her way to be helpful. We hope we can return someday soon.

A lovely time in Asheville

RS (Boone, NC)
Review submitted: October 31, 2011   Date of arrival: October 24, 2011

My husband and I stayed here during Fall 2011. What a beautiful house! Everything was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies and utensils and though the house is small, we never felt cramped. There are trees surrounded the windows of the house, so even though it is in a neighborhood, we always felt like we had ample privacy, plus a lovely view of the birds and squirrels. The fireplace kept things nice and cozy in the chilly mornings. It is perfect for a family of 2 to 4 people. It was nice to have our dog with us while we stayed there... The neighborhood is beautiful and we enjoyed our morning walks. While there, we went to a music festival downtown and had an easy time walking everywhere we needed to go. The owner, Rebecca, took care of all our questions immediately and was very friendly and helpful. All in all, we would love to stay there again! If you decide to stay here, be sure to check out the French Broad Chocolate Lounge and the Indian restaraunt, Mela, both on Lexington Ave. They were an easy 15 minute walk from the house.

Comfort and convenience at Charming Cottage in Historic Montford

i (Key West, Fl)
Review submitted: October 19, 2011   Date of arrival: August 26, 2011

I spent 6 weeks there in order to experience what life would be like if I lived in the area permanenly.
Enjoyed walking my 2 small dogs around the neighborhood and noticing the flora, fauna, historical houses and nice neighbors. The house had everything I needed and more. I mostly shopped at the 2 Farmers Markets, for local cheese, bread, produce, preserves, and many home made products. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance. The owner knows them all and was happy to give me suggestions, She was always helpful and available to answer any questions but she also respected my privacy a great deal. I had to have minor surgery while there and spent more time in bed than usual. I loved the matress. It was perfect for me.
The house had everything I needed to be comfortable, and more. Local art works, books, CDs, I felt As if it were my home away from home. I have very good memories and plan to go back next year.
