Enjoy the sound of waves from our private pool & NEW! 300SF Covered Patio. Casa Mango Tango is nestled in the tree-tops on the wild-life filled river-front, a 4 minute Stroll to the best local snorkeling spot, & 10 minute walk to Famous Playa Negra surfing break, "Sandy" Swimming Beach & beachfront restaurant. Mango Tango is located on a cul-de-sac overlooking the Pargos River and surrounded by mature trees often teeming with birds, Iguanas, butterflies, monkeys, squirrels, racoons, Coati Mundi's and more. Depending on the tide, you can walk from our home to Playa's Avellanas, Blanca and Junquillal on the beach.

Mango Tango's interior living spaces of 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms with combined living, dining & full kitchen are 1200 Sq Ft. In addition to the downstairs patio, there is a small seating balcony off one upstairs bedroom, and an observation balcony off the 2nd upstairs bedroom. The main living area is tree-top height; from the sofas and dining area enjoy a full wall of windows that opens outward over the mature riverfront forest, caribbean blue pool and tropical landscape. The cottage has a beautiful 17' vaulted exotic hardwood ceiling & All 3 bedrooms have french doors overlooking the tropical vista.  (Families with Young children, Please note that the downstairs bedroom/bathroom has a separate entry from the main home, they are not connected by interior stairs).

Our Sunny, Well Stocked Kitchen features granite counters & traverting backsplach, a full oven/gas stove, coffee maker, toaster oven, wine glasses & opener, butcher block knife set, lots of cooking, serving and storage dishes, even a full stock of spices!

A Great Night's Sleep: Soft sheets, quilted mattress pads & A/C. Each bedroom has a large Cedar armoire for clothing. Upstairs Bedroom # 1: Queen bed, Memory Foam topper, romantic RL Northern Cape bedding, riverfront balcony with bistro set over the river for morning coffee. Upstairs Bedroom #2: Queen bed + twin Bed over-top, Step out balcony (family friendly railings are to US code for ages 2+) The Downstairs Bedroom #3 features its own bathroom & 2 sets of sliding glass doors that open to the tropical landscape. All 3 bedrooms have ceiling fans, cedar armoires & mattress pads.

2 Bathrooms, 1 upstairs bathroom (shared by 2 upstairs bedrooms) & 1 downstairs bath; feature granite, vessel sinks & spa style rain showers with massage wands. We also have an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach.

Outdoors:  The Caribbean blue pool (tile, granite & stone accents) is long enough for swimming, with 2 in-pool benches that seat 6-8 people + a tanning ledge large enough for 3 adults!. There is a built-in outdoor dining area of 2 long benches for 6 + a round dining table & 2 chairs under the Guanacaste tree. Also enjoy 2 large hammocks Snorkeling Gear, Beach Towels, a cooler and Weber Q grill provided. In addition to native hardwood trees, our yard has numerous stone islands filled with Heleconia species (hummingbird fav's), ornamental benanas, ixora (butterflies love!), Christmas Tree palms, Cocoa Palms+. Head to the beaches in the morning, and relax in our shady yard in afternoons.

Casa Mango Tango has a locking bodega with washer/Dryer & Surfboard rack, 1 Lg A/C upstairs and an A/C downstairs, 7 Ceiling Fans throughout & Wi-FI. A cooler, snorkeling equipment, pool floats, Weber Q 120 Grill, & Beach towels are available.

Surfing, Sun bathing, Bird & animal watching, Yoga, Paddle Board Lessons, Mountain Bike Tours, Horseback Riding, Sand-Castle Building, Shell Collecting,  Surf Fishing, Lobster Spearing, Salsa Lessons & Nature Walks are a few things to enjoy while in Playa Negra. Our peaceful gated community is a 7 minute walk to the famous Playa Negra surf break from the movie Endless Summer II. Playa Negra is a perfect casual beach town to relax or to explore Guanacaste through day trips. Our home is just 15 minutes to Canopy Pura Aventura Zip-Line, atv and horse-back tours.

We have 8 restaurants in Playa Negra, including a French Bakery and ocean front dining in walking distance at Hotel Playa Negra, Peruvian fusion at Cafe Playa Negra, French & Seafood at Mary's Place, Amazing Sandwiches and cappuccino at Cafe La Ventana, Excellent fish tacos and Burritoes at Jalepeno's, tropical dishes at Pura Vida Pizzeria, even an amazing 5 star chef with a large wine cellar pool side at Villa Deevena. Yoga classes, Dance Lessons, Massage, Movie, Surfboard and Snorkle Rentals are available locally. There are 2 surf shops in town with rentals, a board repair, 3 art galleries (check out Coopwood's amazing surf art at Johnny Manana's!) 2 little gift shops. Have custom bikinis, dresses or rash guards made locally for $20-30 by Vanessa in Town or Margeret at Marvel, bring your favorite & they will copy! 

Branch out 10 minutes to Playa Avellanas Long White Beaches, 15 Minutes to Hacienda Pinella Beach Club and Spa (Lounge at the club's disappearing edge pool all day while friends surf at the beach- their cover fee includes food and drinks), 40 minutes to Tamarindo for shopping, 1 Hr to Playa Flamingo & Playa Conchal, 1 hr to Guatil Pottery and 2 hrs to Africa Mia Safari. Need exercise besides surfing, swimming or snorkling? Jog on the palm lined roads in our gated community, walk 4 minutes from out home to play soccer at the community field, take a bike tour or join one of numerous local yoga classes,or play frisbee or horseshoes in our grass yard.
