The 5 acre property has a private beach and easy access to Mt Desert Island and Acadia National Park, either by boat or auto. Our location provides unparalleled scenic beauty, peace and quiet. For sailing enthusiasts we have a deep-water mooring - 18 feet at mean low water - and the myriad of islands and coves in the area makes for ideal boating experiences whether by sail, motor or kayaking.

This property was better in person than it shows on the internet. It was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make this our home away from home for a week. The yard was beautiful. There is a wonderful view of the ocean from the back deck. The garden was very peaceful. There were hummingbird flying around.

Although this is located in a very small town, it was about 1 hour away from Acadia National Park. We spent almost every day in the Park. We even got up to see the sunrise on Cadillac Mountiain. There are also many local artist gallaries in the area.

The property owners are very friendly and although they live on the property (about 5 acres away), there were unintrusive.

I highly recommend this property.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

The house was even better in reality then it shows on the internet. The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing. It was very well clean and very well maintained. The owners are very friendly and even though they live on the property, they were unintrusive. The kitchen was well equipped. There is a supermarket about 10 mins away where we able to do our weekly grocery shopping. We made dinner every night. We felt right at home.

The house is approxmiatley 1 hour from Acadia National Park. (We went every day. We even woke up at 3:00 am to see the sun rise on Cadillac Mountain.) There are a lot of local artist gallaries in the area.

We had a great time, and I highly recommend this property.
