vacation rental description

Hi, our beachfront apartment on Malibu Road just became available due to our change in plans from Aug 26 thru September 7. Lovely garden apartment on exclusive Malibu Road beach. There is a short stairway to the beach from the door of your apartment. At high tide, the waves lap right under your balcony. At low tide, the beach stretches for miles. There are 3 sea kayaks and multiple boogey boards stored underneath the bldg and two bicycles. Cycle the 2 miles down quiet Malibu Road to shops, restaurants, art classes, yoga classes, bookstore, Starbucks and movie theater in the center of Malibu. Take surfing lessons at Surfrider Beach, hike the trails in the adjacent Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and body surf at Zuma Beach. Enjoy the long walks at sunset on the beach and enjoy the ocean views from your private deck.
King-size bed in bedroom, additional queen-size bed in ocean alcove. Living area has TV, DVD, high speed internet and working fireplace. Garage accommodates one car inside and one out. Full bath, kitchen and beach shower. Linens, towels, beach chairs, beach towels and umbrellas. Limited to four persons. Sorry, no animals.

vacation rental rates

Seven night minimum. $1000 refundable damage deposit. $100 cleaning fee. 

Rent for June is $1800 per week; July is $2100 per week; August is $2300 per week thru early September; September (Malibu's nicest month) is $1900 per week. May and October are $1550/week. All other months are $1400 per week except for certain holiday weeks.

I really want to thank the owners for having this property available for our stay in Malibu. This trip was part pleasure, part family reunion, and part business, and yet with all that going on, I wanted a place where I could enjoy the peaceful, relaxed beauty of the area and live like a local. I rent beach homes frequently, and upon our arrival we knew we had found the right place as it immediately welcomed us with that comfortable familiarity of a true beach home.

Malibu Road (quietly off PCH) was a an added surprise and its proximity to Malibu Colony Plaza was perfect; Ralphs Market for all of our grocery needs, CVS for pharmacy needs (yes I got a bad cold while I was there), Starbucks, a dry cleaner, etc. added to our comfort.

I truly don't believe the description here does this place justice as the welcoming feel is something beyond words. Perhaps it is the way the fresh flowers are placed just so on the fireplace, or the way the beach towels are rolled and left for your use, or the way all the beach supplies are sorted, or the fresh salt water air that is ever present. In truth, overall, I believe it is the owners love for this place you feel when you visit.

The owners could not have been more responsive to my multitude of questions (although I rent beach homes frequently, I have never done so sight unseen and over the internet, thus I was a bit nervous), and for that I am ever grateful to them for making the payment, etc. one of ease.

Our visit to Malibu was such a memorable stay for so many reasons and this home was most certainly one of them.

Thank you and cannot wait to visit again!

Peaceful, Easy Feeling

My wife and I enjoyed every minute of our 7 day stay in this Malibu beachfront apartment. It was a warm welcome as we stepped in the front door to find fresh flowers there for my wife. It was a touch that wasn't expected. The place was quaint and picturesque. I have lived in some places I thought had solitude, but this was perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful ocean views from the large picture windows, the balcony which hung over the waves practically. The mere sound of the ocean would put anyone to sleep even while standing. After 28 years of marriage, and all we have to do to maintain on a day-to-day basis, we really needed this awesome getaway. I can't brag enough about this place or Malibu in general. The owners took care of all our needs except the food. All the beach toys were there so no need for us to lug any around.

Thank you for allowing us to share this dream and for such a great place.We'll be back for sure.

Something for Everyone

With a non-existent spring and bleak summer forecast, my husband and I decided we needed a respite from the grey, rainy skies of Seattle and looked Southward. We were extremely fortunate to find this little gem. The apartment is exactly as pictured and described. The sound of pounding surf is soooo soothing and relaxing. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely rent again.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway
