Spacious modern luxury patio villa located in Mews
Village at New
Seabury. Large living room with skylit cathedral ceiling. Sliding
glass doors to private brick patio. Fully equipped kitchen with
refrigerator,range,microwave and dishwasher. Also has washer and
dryer on first level. Upstairs features master bedroom with queen
size bed, private bath, and cable tv. First floor bedroom has two
twin beds and private bath. Less than 1 minute walk to pool.
Conveniently located one mile from beautiful South Cape Beach and less than a 1 minute walk to pool. Enjoy Mashpee Commons where you  can have fun visiting all the boutiques and restaurants. No Smoking and No Pets Please..

We booked late but Stan & Celeste were a pleasure to deal with. They responded quickly and could not have been nicer or more reasonable. We had difficulty making contact using our UK mobile to confirm our arrival time but they waited patiently to show us around. A lovely touch was a welcome card and biscuits.
This home is spacious and well designed but having worked as an interior designer in the US I would say that the property was built about 1980 - 84 and is showing its age. It may be the end of a busy season but the light fittings, paintwork, door tracks, edges etc could all do with a freshen up. The patio was in need of weeding and the pool had already closed for the season.
The kitchen is reasonably equipped but there was no cupboard space for groceries. You usually ‘inherit’ left over basics like oil, sugar, pasta etc from previous renters and leave your own but there was nothing making eating in expensive for such a short stay. Crockery is plastic.
There is a TV in the living area and master bedroom along with a selection of videos. The technology is rather old and the picture quality poor. Internet access is via a cable in the master bedroom.
Furniture and coordinating accessories are carefully chosen and the house is well presented. There are plenty of towels and the bathrooms are spacious. There is no hair dryer provided.
The only thing we REALLY hated was the awful plastic mattress protector, which rustled at every turn and was hot and uncomfortable to sleep on. Together with the thin, synthetic pillows, the sleeping arrangements are very basic so don’t expect high thread count organic cotton sheets and down pillows.
The location was convenient for all the major routes and local shopping and the nearby beach was beautiful.
This is a well designed house that just needs a little TLC to make it great again. The house in its present condition gets a 6 out of 10 but Stan and Celeste a firm 10 !

Recommended for: age 55+, families with teenagers, sight seeing

Owners response: Hi David and Jo, We are sorry you were unhappy with the unit. We spoke with you the day after check in and David mentioned to us that everything was great and you were very pleased. You mentioned before renting that you do not like some of the rentals because they put a lot of flowery designs in them, so we removed some of the flower decorations for you before your arrival. We had a hurricane the week before you arrived and the management company was clearing trees and debris as quickly as possible. We are sorry there was weed growth around the brick on the patio. The patio door bottoms may have gotten dirt in them from the storm. They have since been cleaned. We have marimeko plates that have a nautical design and can be used indoors and can be used outdoors on the patio. Our wine glasses and regular glasses and coffee mugs are pottery from Macys which is one of our large stores in the states. We leave extra kitchenware in case tenants have people visiting them. We know that you arrived off season and the pool closes after Labor Day. We use a quilted protector with vinyl under for protection. Also, we had used down pillows in the past, but tenants mentioned that they prefer polyester fiber fill pillows because some of them have allergies. We change our pillows and also use cotton pillow protectors. We also purchase our sheets from Macys, and they have a high thread count but are not organic. Our tv is 4 years old and has been working fine. I called your husband on the morning of check out and he said that you both had a wonderful time and enjoyed your stay and were unaware of any problem. We hope you both had a safe trip back home.
