Vacation Rental Description

New log cabin with wilderness lodge theme in a mountain country
setting, north of Asheville just outside of Burnsville, North
Carolina. Rustic, yet elegantly-appointed with modern amenities.
Pet-friendly. Bring your laptop if you can’t get away from it - we
provide high-speed wireless internet access.

Inside the three bedroom, two and a half bath cabin, the kids (and
you) will love the wilderness lodge theme featuring the whitetail
deer, bear, and moose. The Whitetail Deer Room has a king-size log
bed. The Moose Room has a queen-size log bed. The Bear Room has a
twin-over-full log bunk bed. Have fun with the PS2, board games, or
sit back and watch great movies or cable TV programs on the
wide-screen LCD High-Definition TV.

Outside the cabin, relax on the covered front porch and enjoy the
sweeping pastoral views of rolling meadows and the nearby mountains.
On a quiet day or night you can hear the stream from the pasture
across the property. The oversized deck has a gas grill for those
evening barbecues.

Far from the madding crowd, yet centrally located if you wish to visit
major attractions in the North Carolina mountains:
* Asheville & Biltmore Estate - 30 minutes
* Wolf Ridge Ski resort - 15 minutes
* South Toe River / Carolina Hemlocks Recreation - 25 minutes
* Mt. Mitchell State Park - 50 minutes
* Blue Ridge Parkway - 20 minutes

Other attractions or activities within a short drive:
* Horseback riding
* Mt. Mitchell Golf
* Whitewater rafting on the French Broad River or the Nolichucky

Restrictions: No Smoking - inside or outside. Families only - no youth
groups, student groups, or fraternities.

Vacation Rental Amenities

3 wildlife-themed bedrooms, 2.5 baths, large deck, covered porch,
luxurious linens and thick plush towels, stainless steel appliances
(refrigerator, dishwasher, cook-top/oven, microwave, coffee maker,
blender, toaster), cooking pots and pans, dinnerware, washer/dryer,
gas grill, gas fireplace, central heater/air-conditioning, local
phone, DVD, large wide-screen LCD HDTV, a great selection of
children’s books, and a game loft featuring a PS2, a 27-inch game TV,
and board games. We provide your initial paper and cleaning products
as well as basic cooking supplies. Wireless internet access.  Wireless
cell phones work well here. Well-behaved and trained pets are welcome.

Vacation Rental Rates

We have a 3 night minimum.

$150 - $195 per night based on number of bedrooms and guests.  The
cabin can be rented as a 2-bedroom/1.5 bath (Moose & Bear Rooms - max.
6 guests) or as a 3-bedroom/2.5 bath (Deer, Moose & Bear Rooms - max. 8
guests) accommodation. 


2BR ACCOMMODATION Total Rental Fee for 1-4 guests (includes
$150/night, $60 cleaning fee, 9.75% NC Taxes):
3 Nights - $560
4 Nights - $724
5 Nights - $889
6 Nights - $1054
1 Week - $1054 (7th night is free)


3BR ACCOMMODATION Total Rental Fee for 1-6 guests (includes
$175/night, $70 cleaning fee, 9.75% NC Taxes):
3 Nights - $653
4 Nights - $845
5 Nights - $1037
6 Nights - $1229
1 Week - $1229 (7th night is free)


OTHER FEES (subject to tax): 
Each additional guest - $10/night
Pets - $10/night per pet


Refundable security/damage deposit $250.

15% off for rentals over 1 week.
35% off for monthly rentals.
