Keolamauloa in Paauilo

Keolamauloa  is a family farm located on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island, where the family of 3 generations share a working vision of self-sustainable living. We produce wholesome food for both our family and the community, minimize our environmental impact by using eco-friendly practices, and contribute to the restoration of native forests through the propagation of indigenous propagate native plants.Sally and Keith are working artists and share a studio on the property while their daughter, Kia’i, enjoys the daily surprises of nature. Kaye finds joy and relaxation in gardening and working toward a sustainable future for her grandchildren.

E Komo Mai (Welcome) 

The restful accomodation features a private entrance, fully equipped kitchen, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms (each with a double bed). Additional ammenities include laundry, wifi, foosball, tv/dvd, and the soothing sound of small waterfalls.

Native banana, koa, kukui, and ohia trees provide the shade for hapu ferns, taro, awa and noni. Sheep grazing on the hillside, chickens in moveable coops, the family pet pig

Keolamauloa provides an apartment in the main house for a farm stay – as a vacation or short term rental.
Walk or bicycle in the country or visit local sites, Keolamauloa will welcome you home, whether you have traveled a few miles to Kalopa State Park, historic Honoka’a town and Waipio Valley, or taken a day trip to Kohala and the Kona Coast or to Hilo and the Volcano. E Komo Mai!

 RATES

1-2 people $100 per night / $600 per wk / $1100 for 2 wks / $2000 per month
3 people $125 per night / $775 per week / $1450 for 2 wks / $2700 per month
4 people $150 per night / $950 per week / $1800 for 2 wks / $3400 per month
Taxes will be added.

Rates for a 4 day rental. A surcharge will be applied for 2-3 day rentals.  Keolamauloa will accomodate 6 persons. A double futon couch is available for up to two additional persons. $25 per night per extra person.

POLICIES
 This is a smoke-free property, and please leave your pets at home and enjoy ours during your stay. 50% deposit required upon booking - balance due upon arrival.

If notice is received:
30 days or more before reserved date- full refund
15 - 29 days before reserved date - 50% refund
14 days or less from reserved date - no refund
