The Japanese inspired decor creates beauty and tranquility from the hand painted murals to the artisan pottery. Every effort is taken to transport you to comfort and serenity. Heron House provides a main bedroom with a master bath and two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with two twin beds and two additional baths. This home features hardwood floors throughout, vaulted ceilings and plenty of closet space. A large and airy all season sun room overlooks the river. Large living room with fireplace featuring pool table, futon sofa (becomes additional queen bed), futon lounger (serves as a full bed), large screen 48" LCD TV with DVD player, cable, wireless internet and ping-pong table. Full service kitchen with dishes (12 place settings), organic cotton linens, bottled water, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster and microwave.   24 hour Anytime Fitness health club access included with rental.  Outdoor fire ring and hammocks to relax in.  Bicycles and kayaks available to rent.  Massage and yoga offerings available on-site.  Tea house/meditation cabana nestled in one of the many gardens. Located on five wooded acres with 300' of river frontage.  A wonderful spot to get together with family and friends.

We are very kid and pet friendly with amenities that will make travel with your entire family a pleasure. For the kids, we provide a pack and play, high chair, games, sidewalk chalk, tiaras, bubbles and much more. For pets, we provide beds, bowls, treats and toys.

Heron House is located in Wisconsin six miles from the Upper Michigan border of Menominee, Michigan and Marinette, Wisconsin. A large sailing community is located in Menominee, which sponsors races and community events throughout the year. Birding, kayaking and walks along the beach are just some the great activities within a 15 miles radius. Downhill and cross country skiing destinations are close by. Many golf courses within just a few miles. A great area for road biking with epic rides and few cars. Restaurants, shopping, farmers markets and museums are all close.  Many people fly in and out of the Green Bay's Austin Straubel Airport or the Menominee, Michigan Airport to visit the EAA and other destinations. The Porterfield Country Music Festival is only 5 minutes away!

There are no additional charges for cleaning, wifi, the number of people staying, parking or pets.  

Wisconsin 5% Lodging Tax not included in rate.

We require a 50% deposit by credit card to confirm a reservation with the balance due before arrival.

If you must cancel, you can apply your deposit toward a future rental at any of our locations or if you would like a refund, we retain 25% of the deposit and refund the remainder within 3 weeks.
