The Sea Slug beach cottage in Manzanita

"The Sea Slug", a charming cottage located less than a quarter of a mile from Manzanitas' 7 mile beach. [A 5 minute walk]

1 king bed, 2 twins and 1 queen hideabed

The cottage was originally built in the 40's but has been remodeled several times and is in good condition, with a nice big kitchen to cook and entertain in. There ia a front porch with chairs to observe the passing beach goers and walkers and the private back deck for sunning, dining and BBQing.

The ktchen has a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator,  and all cooking/eating utensils.  All linens are provided except beach towels. There is a wood burning stove with firewood provided, along with electric heating.

For entertainment there is a 33 1/3 record collection and player, along with a TV and DVD player. There is a local movie rental store.  Free WiFi is available 24 hrs at the library location. There is also a tether ball in the large grassy yard, and a bocce ball court (balls and directions included), beach toys and chairs, beach fire equipment and wood, along with 2 adult and 2 youth bicycles. Also, free slugs for collecting.

Located 90 miles from Portland, and 20 minutes from Cannon Beach, it is a 10 minute walk to the quaint town of Manzanita.  The town has unique shops and galleries, great bakeries and coffee houses and the "best organic food store on the coast"!  The charming towns of Nehalem and Wheeler are 5-8 minutes away, with more restaurants and shopping.  You can rent kayaks, crab pots and boats at the Wheeler Marina.
