This well equipped, modern home features 2700 square feet under air, which includes 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a 2 car garage, a huge living area, a separate large dining room and a large eat-in kitchen. You also have a screened-in patio and an adjacent deck area with a private swimming pool with a waterfall.

This is a home in one of the most desirable areas in Miami - Coconut Grove. The Village of Coconut Grove is located adjacent to Biscayne Bay. It is a quiet, private and lush community which makes you feel as if you are in the suburbs, but yet you are as close as you can get to Key Biscayne, Brickell and Downtown Miami. It is within walking distance of homes once owned by celebrities such as Stalone and Madonna.

Right from the home, you can walk to the Museum of Science, to the Vizcaya mansion, to various waterfront parks, marinas and much more. The Art District and our new Arts Center and Opera House are within a 10 minute drive.

The Master bedroom has a very high-end and comfortable queen size bed. The second bedroom also has a luxury queen size mattress. One of the 4 bedrooms is used to house a full office set up for your use. Another bedroom is set up as a media room with a large flat screen TV, DVD player and surround sound. This last room can also sleep two additional people if desired.

The master bathroom features a large Roman tub. A second bathroom provides a walk-in shower which can be useful for someone elderly. The third bathroom provides a regular bath tub with shower.

The house is surrounded by beautiful vegetation such as Oak trees, and mature palm trees providing needed shade during the summer.

traveler reviews for this coconut grove house rental

Great house, will be back!

Review submitted: January 15, 2014   Date of arrival: December 23, 2013

We loved the house! Perfect location-great interior.

We highly recommend this property. The location is great. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe YET located close to all that Miami has to offer, beaches, shopping, restaurants, sailing, diving, etc. We used the pool area every day and grilled the fish that we caught from the ocean nearby. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils; we ate at home often although there were so many great restaurants close by. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable and worked perfectly for our needs. The sound system was a nice touch to enjoy music both inside and outside. This was like staying in someone’s great home, not a rental. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. We will stay here again for sure.

Perfect for family gatherings

Review submitted: November 11, 2013   Date of arrival: October 23, 2013

This lovely l home was the perfect setting for our extended family. The shaded lanai allowed the sun sensitive family members to enjoy the outdoors while protecting their skin. The daily sightings of peacocks was a treat. All 7 adults gave two thumbs up on this house.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car

Lovely Home But Needs Maintenance and TLC

Review submitted: October 14, 2013   Date of arrival: October 8, 2013

GREAT HOME IN SUPER AREA - NEEDS A LOT OF MAINTENANCE AND TLC

This home is lovely, but has a lot of problems that can be corrected by the owner to bring it up to a 5 star rating.

The house has a lot of small problems that unfortunately added up to an unpleasant experience during a one week period.

1. Lights in master bath - there are 3. At times we had one light, other times 2 or 3.
2. No hot water was available in washing machine.
3. TV in kitchen was not hooked up for use.
4. Sink in bathroom near third bedroom and garage leaked, hot water side had to be shut off.
5. Toilet in 3rd bathroom stopped up.
6. House guest visiting us for lunch fixed the toilet in guest bathroom.
7. One of two doors going out to pool had a sign on it " do not use".
8. Overhanging trees in front of house scraped car as we went in and out.
9. Owner did not make contact with us before coming into house to try and make repairs. . She did leave a note saying tried to call, came over and saw one of our cars in garage and came in thinking we were asleep. We found this inappropriate without making personal contact.
She shut out the lights and we returned to a dark house, fearing who had been in there? No light to out front to open a very difficult front door. We had to call upon arrival since we could not open the front door. Lock on front door needs maintenance.
10. Various lights around the house did not work, a couple of light bulbs were out. Did not have a usable reading light in 2nd bedroom. Had to move a lamp in from another room.
11. Landscaping around the house is in need of TLC.
12. A note left by owner cautioned using the roman tub/shower in master bath. If not used with great care would cause damage. We did not want to chance causing any damage to this lovely bath, so we opted to use the shower near the garage. A 2nd adult was using the guest bathroom.
13. Windows all across the living room were dirty and spoiled the view upon entering this lovely house.
14. House had a very musty odor upon entrance, we burned candles to stop this.

When renting a home one does not expect all of these problems. We did not want to sit around waiting for the owner or a maintenance person. Suggest owner consider living in the house a few days prior to renting again. This house is begging for upkeep which would bring it up to a very high level.

House was very clean, spacious, comfortable, and had everything one

Owners response: Should have followed my instincts to not rent to this tenant due to negative disposition.

First, wife tries to negotiate rate saying her husband was requesting it. Tells me her husband is a great handyman & how well they will take care of house. After deposit, I get a frantic call asking if I own the property because she heard of internet scams & after I patiently appease her, she checks records on-line to prove it. Right there I should have returned deposit.

Upon arrival, wife calls saying they could not open the front door. I pointed her to one of 2 keys provided, immediately they open the door. I checked, the lock works perfectly.

3 days go by, another call, complaining that pool service came by & added chlorine & told them best not to go in for 24 hours. I explain this is for their safety & normal pool maintenance. She then says her husband was upset because a few light bulbs "sometimes" work in master bath, there was a leaky faucet, & limited hot water to washer, plus no lights in living room. I explain which switch to use to turn the lights on in living room, & said I'd call handyman to ck on the faucet, washer & replace bulbs in master bath.

My handyman was out of town & said he'd come out in 2 days. So I call tenants, no answer, so I head to the house to check on things myself to try to solve the issues. I arrive, their car is in garage. I knock twice, wait, no answer. I go in & the a/c is cranked down low & master bedroom closed, so I assume they are sleeping. I go to opposite side of house check on faucet which has a slow (drop by drop) leak. I'm not a handyman but it took me seconds to figure out to close the hot water valve right behind the sink to stop leak until my handyman came out (sink still usable with cold water). Only remaining item are 2 recessed lights in the master bath they said sometimes did not work. There are a total of 5 in that bathroom, so I figured respecting their privacy was more important than changing two bulbs. So I leave a note and turn off the foyer & outside light on way out since it was daytime.

They call before leaving saying they had a lovely time. Then I get this unjustified review with 2 stars. No space left to address every small item but: windows are perfectly clean, it's condensation caused by humidity, washer was pushed back causing kink in hot water hose hence limited supply, landscape maintenance occurs biweekly, I understand knocking off 1 star, but read other reviews for reality.
