THIS IS A NON SMOKING UNIT
Pets welcome - The beach is pet friendly!
The townhouse is known as "The Beach Bungalow" and is part of the Cape Villa Town homes and is in a family oriented area. It is located on the beach. It sleeps 6 people. It has been completely updated and refurbished recently. The Beach Bungalow is a 2-bedroom 2-1/2-bath home. Our area is reminiscent of 'Old Florida.' There are no tall condos or hotels anywhere near by! Our beaches are very quiet and peaceful, and in the off-season, in particular, you will rarely encounter anyone as you stroll quietly along the beach. With only 12 units and the only multi-unit homes in the area you will find the beach secluded and private compared to Barrier Dunes with 190 units (only 15 with Gulf view) or Barefoot Cottages which are not on the beach at all.
The second floor's master bedroom has a furnished screened deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. It has a king-size bed and private full bath. There is a TV with a DVD / CD player in the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds, a private full bath, a furnished screened deck and a TV with a VCR player. There are 2 twin aero raised beds.
Linens are furnished
The bedrooms, hallway and stairs have new wall-to-wall carpet.
The living area has a leather couch with recliners built in, along with a reclining wing chair. The TV has a DVD / CD player. The dining area seats 6. The kitchen has all new appliances and kitchen utensils.
There is also a washer and dryer in the unit. There is also a laundry chute from second floor.
The first floor has a half bath.
We welcome pets. No family should have to leave their pet at home while on vacation. The beach is pet friendly!
Exiting from the living area is a screened deck with a gas grill and patio table and chairs. Out the back door and you are no more than 20 feet from the pool and 50 steps from the beach. There is a gazebo by the pool and a boardwalk to the beach. There is an outdoor shower.
Bonfires are permitted (check with county first incase there is a fire ban) on the beach for a cozy campfire. From long walks on the secluded beach, shelling, exploring the beaches, fishing, playing or swimming in either the pool or Gulf of Mexico it or just relaxing on the beach with a good book. There is also plenty of parking right in front of the Beach Bungalow. Bringing the groceries and suitcases from the car to the house is a breeze.
Cape Villas has many activities to choose from within a 30-minute drive. Nested between Port St Joe and Apalachicola, there are many restaurants, activities, and shopping. There are also places nearby that rent boats and personal watercraft (Jet-Skis). There is parasailing, golf, site seeing.
If you enjoy nature there are many state parks to choose from. St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge, in Franklin County, Florida, is an undeveloped barrier island just offshore from the mouth of the Apalachicola River, in the Gulf of Mexico. The refuge is managed to preserve, in as natural a state as possible, its highly varied plant and animal communities. St Vincent has a large variety of exotic and endangered wildlife. Ten separate habitat types have been identified: tidal marsh; freshwater lakes and streams; dunes dominated by live oak/mixed hardwood understory; scrub oaks; relatively pure stands of cabbage palm; and four different slash pine communities, each with its own unique understory species. St. Vincent is an important stop-off point in the Gulf of Mexico region for neo-tropical migratory birds. The island is a haven for endangered and threatened species, including bald eagles, sea turtles, indigo snakes, and gopher tortoises. Wood storks use the refuge during their migration. In addition, the refuge serves as a breeding area for endangered red wolves. You can get there by boat or ferry. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park with miles of white sugar sand, this park has one of the top rated beaches in the United States.
Sunbathing, snorkeling, and swimming are popular activities along the Gulf of Mexico and St. Joseph Bay. From offshore, canoeists and kayakers can take in a superb view of the high dunes and sand pine scrub. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, and bicycling. As a coastal barrier peninsula, St. Joseph provides excellent opportunities for bird watching; over 240 species have been sighted in the park. A boat ramp is located at Eagle Harbor on the bay side.
We will see to it that you have a wonderful time here at Beach Bungalow. We will do everything in our power to accommodate
