Flamingo House is a relaxing, Key West style family owned and operated property comprised of four apartments. Our one and two bedroom apartments are in a tropical setting with flamingo and palm tree fencing - simply charming. 

Most apartments are on the ground level with full kitchens and are 1 1/2 blocks from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world - Siesta Beach!  We are located in a QUIET residential area with no traffic - just peaceful.

We are 2 blocks from the heart of Siesta Key Village where you will find good restuarants, good music and good people! There is something from everyone--from families to singles, from a romantic meal at Cafe Blaise to late-night martinis and coffee at LeLu's Coffee Lounge to party central at the Daiquiri Deck or Giligan's Island. Siesta Key village has it all. Stay here and walk everywhere you want to be on Siesta Key.

My husband and I plus our 2 kids were fortunate enough to stay at the Flamingo House Unit D. We found this one bedroom duplex unit the day before we wanted to go. Mary (the owner) emailed me back right away and gave us a great rate for 2 nights. There was no minimum stay required. It was ideal! It was pet friendly - even for our 50 lbs. German Shepherd.
There are a lot of rentals in the area but non are as quaint, quiet and private. The Flamingo House also has 2 bedroom cottages that were rented by other families but we felt like we were at a private house.
The place was decorated very nice with new linens and towels. The wall A/C units were new with thermostats so it never got too hot or cold. She provided shampoo, luxury soaps, gourmet tea, a new sponge for the dishes, a free coffee cup souvenir, beach towels and chairs plus wifi. The location was ideal - one block to the beautiful white sandy (like flour) beaches, one block to the the little town shops.
We loved it there and we will definitely be back.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, pet-friendly, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

We stayed for 6 wks and were very pleased especially with the location...1 block from the beach and 1 block the other way from the main street..with several good restaurants there, post office etc
the accommodations were clean and well stocked with dishes etc and all appliances worked. Good service from owners .. we had locked ourselves out 1x and they solved our problem immediately.
I would recommend this place to those who especially like "old Florida" style facilities.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, pet-friendly

great time on the key

We spent the month of December at the Flamingo House. Enjoyed everything!! We were in unit D which is on the upper level. It has a cute little screened in porch. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator and cupboards stocked with everything you need.
The beautiful white sand beach is only a block away!! Mary furnishes the beach towels,chairs, and an umbrella. She also has a couple of bikes so you can ride along the beach or ride around the village. The Flamingo House is pet friendly. Our dog loved her daily walks around the quiet neighborhood.
The village is only a couple blocks away. Our favorite place was Siesta Key Oyster Bar. They have great food and different entertainment nightly. Everyone is so friendly. You can't help but have a great time anywhere downtown!!
Don't miss the Drum Circle on Sunday at the main public beach fun-fun-fun!!!
After a month at the Flamingo House it felt like home! Would love to go back!!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway
