Enjoy a Winter holiday in the mountains with family and friends.  Enjoy an easy, family style vacation. Make yourself at home in our lovingly restored Lincoln-log cabin. We manage the property ourselves for careful attention to cleaning details and are available should questions or concerns arise. The cabin is located on over an acre of tall pine and rhododendren half-way between Boone and Banner Elk in quaint little Foscoe, off 105 South on a quiet dead-end street. Enjoy the beautiful open floor plan inside and the garden picnic area outside with view of Grandfather Mountain.

Very large, fully equipped eat-in kitchen seats 10. Plasma TV with cable and wireless internet, washer and dryer. 1 king, 3 queen, single roll-away, and queen sofa bed. Front and rear decks with infra-red gas grill. No mountain driving or 4-wheel required to get here. Plenty off street parking. Children welcome. Handicapped accessible. Inquire about pets. No smoking indoors, please.

Property Amenities: Quiet, tranquil location with Grandfather Mountain views. Centrally located to Boone, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, and Banner Elk. Cabin has central heating, air conditioned bed-rooms,dish washer, new refrigerator with ice maker, new ovens, new microwave, coffee maker, toaster, new electric cooking unit, blender, full dining service for 10, large pots and pans and cooking utensils. Full size washer/dryer. Plasma TV, wireless internet.

Wood-burning fireplace, video and book libraries, adult and children's board games. Outdoor seating among the pines with new infra red grill and picnic area. Close to skiing, tubing, and hiking areas, gas stations, take-out, shopping, super markets, pharmacy, churches,  bank/ATMs, family billiards and restaurants.

The cabin is within 15 minutes of 3 ski areas and 5 minutes from Hawksnest Family Tubing Center. The Boone and Banner Elk areas are a mecca for outdoor activities; from peaceful fly-fishing to white water rafting, gentle hiking trails to mountan climbing, biking for fun or racing. Canoeing, kayaking, swimming and horse back riding in the mountains. Close to Grandfather Mountain with its famous swinging bridge, zoo and museum. Nearby Tweetsie Railroad is a favorite family attraction. Ride the Blue Ridge Parkway for scenic color and beauty. Mast General Store in Valle Crucis nearby.

Regional artists have galleries in the Blowing Rock  Boone and Foscoe areas.  Also, enjoy a visit to the Banner Elk winery in Banner Elk and the new Grandfather Mountain Winery in Foscoe.
